#memademay day 7 - I haven’t posted the last few days because I’ve been in hospital but I just passed a fellow patient in the corridor who said those are the most beautiful pyjamas I’ve ever seen and I think you’ve got to celebrate all the made things. I made them almost 5 years ago to the day because I was headed in for my first spinal surgery and I wanted to insert something nice into the whole nastiness. They are a big four generic unisex pj pattern made in #ladymcelroyfabric from @maaidesign I think the design is called midnight garden but I could be wrong. The fabric is lovely - a shade heavier than liberty lawn but soft and delightful to wear. They made me a convert to a nice pj and have stood up remarkably well to a lot of wear. I’m wearing a #marashawl to keep my shoulders warm and cover up the big bruised gash across my throat. And knitting always makes for lovely conversations with the nurses.

#memademay day 4 started with #hudsonpants in French terry from @tessutifabrics and #cleancuttee in merino tencel jersey from @wearethefabricstore before I dressed it up for work in #pencilshapedpants in a cotton elastin from @tessutifabrics RTW shirt and brand new #morrisblazer in wool elastin from @drapersfabrics from a mini craft camp weekend

The #wildergown never really appealed to me until I saw the stunning version made by @onetui and I think it was because the neck was tied a little looser. So I gave it a shot in this light wool I’ve had in the stash for forever. I actually like the look of the neck when it’s done up tighter (pic 2) but I like the shoulders and back better when it’s looser like in pic 1. I’m on the fence with this one.

This was mostly knit while travelling through Japan where there were quite a few white mountains so it’s filled with travel memories.
The Earth yarn was bought on last year’s trip to Scotland, so even more travel memories.
And my mate @woollenflower wore her white mountains sleeveless when we travelled in Finland as well as Scotland so travel memories galore.
And of course both these gorgeous yarns, which are so wonderfully matched were dyed by good friends so could this project have been anything other than a great success?
