Had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with legendary casting director Jane Jenkins for a talk. Jane has cast for legendary directors Francis Ford Coppola, Ron Howard, and Rob Reiner for many years. Her casting credits speak for themselves, When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, Stan by Me, A Few Good Men, and so many more iconic films that shaped generations of movie lovers. Fun Fact: Before I got married, I used to work as a stand-in for hit TV shows and films, for quite a few very well-known actors (some seriously big stars!). I learned so much during that time and have plenty of stories… most of which I’ll be taking to the grave 😂 ( I could write a book! ) For those who don’t know, a stand-in is the person who takes the actor’s place during lighting and camera setup so everything looks perfect when the real scene is filmed. Half the time I didn’t even look like the actor, so they’d put a blonde wig on me or I’d have to stand on an apple box if they were taller. I just knew how to do the gig well, and sometimes they’d even use me to do a read-through if the actor I was standing in for was still in the makeup trailer! 🎬✨ The only reality show I ever stood in for was The Bachelorette, many moons ago, and funny enough, I’ve never actually watched one single episode! 🌹😂
