Today marks the first anniversary of the passing of our dear friend Hugh Scully.
Anyone on the scene in Dublin in the 90s and 2000s will remember Hugh for his charm, style and that infectious laugh and smile.
I first met Hugh back in the mid 90s, when he was running Blue in the Kitchen with Shay Hannon. He went on to run several clubs around Dublin as well as his beloved pressing plant Dublin Vinyl in later years.
While I have many images of Hugh over the years, here’s a selection all shot on film, from the Kitchen in 2001, Spy and the Smirnoff Dance Music Awards in the Ambassador theatre in 2002.
Sadly missed, always remembered.
