Homegrown
Deep Roots. Bold Futures.
The Homegrown campaign was born from a simple truth: our boys are not defined by what’s missing. They embody the best of what’s growing in New Orleans. This is what we see every day: young men becoming who they are with purpose, pride, and roots that run deep.
To our collaborators and creative partners, thank you for helping bring this vision to life.

Episode 2: New York Giants
This episode took Son of a Saint mentees inside the New York Giants organization for a firsthand look at the many paths that exist within professional sports beyond the field.
From touring the facilities to hearing personal stories and career journeys from team members across the organization, our boys were reminded that there’s more than one way to make an impact.
Huge thank you to Usama Young and the Giants staff for opening the doors and pouring into our mentees in such a meaningful way.
More to come from New York!
Let's build more, together!
Too many boys are left without consistent support. Too many systems are short-term, fragmented, or reactive.
Son of a Saint is different.
We show up early. We stay. We build a foundation that lasts.
Your time or treasure supports our future.
If you’ve been looking for a way to make an impact in our city, this is it!

👟🪩 Sneaker Ball Recap
Hosted by our Mentee Council, the first Son of a Saint Sneaker Ball was all about showing up in style and having a good time doing it. Our mentees and guests brought the fits, the energy, and their own sense of what it means to stand out.
Big shoutout to our Programs Team and special thanks to Case Manager, Cardella Mayho for making this a night to remember.✨
🍽️ 🔥CHOP: The Finale
The final installment of our six-week culinary program, CHOP, brought tons of excitement as our mentees went head-to-head in a live cooking challenge after weeks of practice. 👏
They were joined by an incredible group of judges who brought the energy and the expertise:
Donald Link, Restaurateur
Stephen Stryjewski, Restaurateur
Prince Lobo, Addis NOLA
Ian McNulty, Food Writer
Brian Kish, President, Emeril Lagasse Foundation
Christopher Vazquez, Ralph’s on the Park
Katherine Odell, Emeril Lagasse Foundation
Nancy Rebold, Board Member
Big thank you to this crew for showing up for our boys and for continuing to make New Orleans a food city like no other!

💰The Money Circle Capstone marked the close of our first cohort and the beginning of something much bigger.
Mentees were exposed to real decisions, real scenarios, and real opportunities, challenging their thinking about money and its role in their future.
Through Son of a Saint, in partnership with EPIC Federal Credit Union, each mentee has secured a $600 investment in a Certificate of Deposit—a starting point that reflects both commitment and possibility.
The room was filled with mentors, partners, supporters, and community members who showed up to witness what happens when young people are given access to both opportunity and responsibility.
Thank you to all our partners and Money Mentors! Special shoutout to our Success Coach, Arianne Craig Jolla for launching this amazing program.✨

Project Patron Saint
As part of Project Patron Saint, a new initiative led by our Mental Health Team, we hosted our first Guardian Wellness Retreat, creating space for rest, reflection, and connection.
From yoga and mindful walks to hands-on art and conversations around the eight traits of wellness, the day was designed to pour back into the caregivers who show up every day for our boys.
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped bring this experience to life, especially our Mental Health Specialist, Amy Galley, for curating such a thoughtful retreat and to Sue Magee of @devoteddreamersfoundation for sharing her insight.
Our guardians left asking for a full weekend next time.
We’ll take that as a good sign!
Big thanks to our entire Mental Health Team

SOAS in the City 🗽
From exploring the streets of New York to stepping into new spaces, our boys experienced what’s possible when opportunity meets preparation.
Trips like these expand what they see and what they believe they can become.
Follow along as we share more from our NYC adventure.
This is what opportunity looks like.
Time in New York gave our boys the chance to explore, connect, and imagine what’s next.
When we invest in experiences like this, we’re opening doors that last far beyond the moment.
