We’ve got some bragging to do. Our Associate Creative Director, Cheryl, was featured in this spring's Society of Illustrators 68th Annual Exhibition in New York. 🕊️ 🐦‍⬛ Her piece, Flight Pattern, is a two-color screen print created for the Posters for Parks annual fundraiser. Inspired by parks in her hometown of Minneapolis, the design weaves together 40 unique Minnesota birds into a one striking composition. Cheryl is a hands-on maker with a love for printmaking, detail, and big-picture thinking that elevates everything she touches. We’re proud to call her one of our own. Congratulations, Cheryl! 👏

Son of a bean… it’s a hit. 🫘🏆 Our reaction to winning Best in Show for Storytelling at this month’s New Orleans ADDY’s, as visually depicted by the incredible talent we shared the JEDCO set with. Producing this webisode for JEDCO was a delight beyond words. Huge praise to our pitch perfect partner Jerry Bologna and the team at @jedco_news for entrusting us with telling THEIR story. We could never adequately thank our talent, the Jingle Kings @official.homesweethome who flew in for this production and stayed up countless nights making up THE MOST ridiculous jingles – their dedication to comedy and their craft is well, extraordinary. To @lahardbody for being just the right amount of not quite right – to concept, direct, and pull this insanity off. And to our talented crew who showed up and laughed along the way with us and made the vision come to life. A grand thanks goes to Swaybox Studios, Gulf Wind Technology, and Camellia Beans for not only letting us raid your space, but joining the fun with us. Going up on a Tuesday with this Washington Mardi Gras recap, because we have finally recovered from last week’s trip up to the icy tundra that is DC right now. 🥶 WMG is such an enigma … exciting, eventful, educational, energetic, and exhausting all wrapped up into one big sequin-adorned, fur-lined array of meetings … both planned and unplanned. Particularly exciting this year was LED’s numerous presentations that remind us of how proud we should all be to represent Louisiana right now. We see it in our work daily through the agency — and among others, LED, LA.IO, and GNO, Inc. did an incredible job telling the stories of our incredible community and what is happening across our entire state, from energy to tech to infrastructure. Thank you to everyone who hosted the amazing events and hospitality suites we were able to attend. Your hard work created a spectacular event for many ready to bring it all back home. It was an amazing way to kick off the new season and harness even a small slice of the energy Louisiana brings to serve our nation.🫰 Let’s go, LA!

Last month, @jedco_news gave Deep Fried a backstage pass to some of Jefferson Parish's most innovative businesses, namely @swayboxstudios , @gulfwindtech & @camelliabeans . Behind their big imposing facades, there are even bigger stories to tell. So, we donned our hardhats and went behind the scenes. But with a keytar. And a ponytail. And a little bit of controversy. We can't thank all of our partners enough who came together with extraordinary talent and masterful timing to make it happen.
