Sonny Boy

I recently had the honor of helping restore this original 1952 Mack Fire Engine for the City of Santa Monica Fire Department. It was truly a labor of love—and the passion project of fellow firefighter Dom Smith, who sadly passed away from job-related brain cancer. Dom had been deeply involved in restoring this engine before his passing. The Santa Monica Fire Department completed the restoration as an everlasting tribute to honor Engineer Dom Smith’s legacy. It was a privilege to gild and paint such a beautiful piece of history. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and deeply proud to have played a small part in this tribute. I had the great pleasure of manifesting a dream that I’ve had since I was a little boy. I created a piece of art for one of the companies that I’ve loved, admired and was raised on. @harleydavidson . I’m beyond excited to share this piece because it means a lot to me and proves that if you persistently display to the world what you are good at and what you want to create, then people will want it and great things will come... This was an opportunity that came at one of the most important moments of my life, having my new born baby. After just coming home from the hospital and with an extremely tight deadline and with the help of my amazing partner @ntrach ❤️ I was able to rise to the occasion and get it done and shipped out in time for the 100 year anniversary of the H-D Dealer Meeting in Milwaukee. I’d like to thank Neil @neilgrimmer for including me in this project and believing in my art.
