There are many samples/chops from past sessions that I use over and over again, so I’d just like to thank these particular friends for having lent their talents @samuelsleach for his masterful keys, @bernezed the drum don for general drums and the same cymbal that I keep using over and over lol (which can be heard on this track Willows), @tommy__margarita who’s cellos reverberate and weave in and out of so much of the music!

I’ve always wanted to do something a bit more Housey but whenever I go to make a tune like that, it comes out as something else, kinda the opposite happened here, I started with some Rhodes chops that my dear friend and collaborator @samuelsleach recorded for me for a different tune 🧡 and the result ended up being this tune.
Super happy about this one! Hope you enjoy 🌳
EP out next week Friday, so is brother @jerkcurb ‘s album (which is a real masterpiece), you can listen to them like Barbenheimer but on constant repeat.

This EP will be more “uptempo”, some dancier tunes on there whilst maintaining an Ambient/Downtempo (for want of better genre words) sound.

It is such an honour to have such esteemed producers like @sonlife_ giving a new perspective to my music. I love Ojan’s music in all its cinematic glory..you will definitely FEEL something listening to him! His debut album came out a couple of years back and it’s stunning..’Blue Whale’s Theme’ still makes my hairs stand up every time I hear it 🐋
He blessed ‘Leather Wallets 1JD’ with his elegant trademark sound...that gentle garage like groove, it’s kind of laid back and introspective, but you’re always bouncing. Love the subtle atmospheric additional synths he laid down which also gave it some real depth! 🙏
