🐚~~~Shell~~~🐚 a song about searching… hearing the drone of the sea in the road and climbing mountains in the mind… a spiraling shell searching for somewhere to rest and unfurl the song began as a saxophone loop which was then layered over with cello by @kattnewlon turning it into an ode to all the folk songs i’ve been soothed by these past years I wrote and recorded the lyrics alone in Dungeness, long walks on along endless pebble beaches… a landscape which felt like the end of a rock cycle i’d been tracing through Lithic here are some photos from the making of the Lithic album which began in the Cornish cliffs… searching for sounds between rock and water, flowing drones, listening to a river on her way to the sea photos by @joyaberrow
