Headlining the night is the unparalleled Marta Elena. Accompanied by her incredible band, the Toronto-based Cuban-Canadian songstress will deliver classics, contemporaries and music from her new album, Por Amor, out now on Lulaworld Records - her most mature and emotionally resonant work to date. Known for her expressive voice and dynamic stage presence, Marta Elena moves effortlessly between powerful, rhythm-driven performance and intimate storytelling. Her music is deeply personal, often inspired by everyday life, cultural memory, and the communities that shape her artistic journey. 💿 A Toronto legend, we are excited to welcome DJ General Eclectic as our guest DJ. From cumbia to chutney, forro to funk, soul to soukous...His ability to rock a party has kept him in the company of some of the best DJs from around the globe, while at home he’s built a longstanding reputation for community building events and creative projects that have made a lasting mark on the city’s cultural landscape.

@lupinore is no stranger to Sonic Sancocho events, having spun our August 2024 jam @dromtaberna - he says: “One of the most enjoyable gigs I’ve ever played! It felt as if the crowd and I were one. That energy was unmatched.”
That Dude From Lupinore (TDFL) is a connoisseur of life’s soundtrack; a man whose journey is as eclectic as the beats he loves. From selling mixtapes in his youth to event promotion, music has always been a constant. He then transitioned into teaching dance, guiding others to move to the rhythms that fueled his soul. Event photography became his next muse, capturing the raw, unfiltered moments that define our existence. Now, as the creative director of SAMBAranthony and co-founder of Trust The Process Press, TDFL channels his passion for music into a broader canvas, painting with the vibrant colors of sound and vision. Through it all, he has remained a steadfast purveyor of good times, driven by the belief that music is the universal language of joy. To put it simply, That Dude From Lupinore is just a dude who really loves music.

The vibes were top, the dancefloor was alive, and honestly… we’re still processing how beautiful it was to celebrate 2 years of Sonic Sancocho with you like this.
Seeing you singing along with the Mariachi while sipping on some warm sancocho (YES 😭) was everything we dream this space can be: music, culture, sabor, community ,all in one room.
Huge love to Niña Volcán for the heat, and to Romperayo Sound System (Pedro & Zue Ojeda) for an exceptional set that took us all the way. 🚀💥
