Last year, we visited Pinewood Post Production to film with re-recording mixer Jasper Thorn and senior mix technician Fergus Pateman, capturing their work in some of the most prestigious mixing theatres in the world.
Spending time at Pinewood is a privilege. After filming, the team generously set aside time for us to enjoy some pieces mixed in the room, and it’s fair to say the Pressburger Theatre is a remarkable space for anyone with a passion for high-fidelity TV and film audio. It’s genuinely one of the best rooms we’ve ever heard.

Thanks to the entire production crew for their exceptional professionalism in taking this project from the first conversations through to the finished videos.

Superbooth 2026 is wrapped up, and what a wild ride it was! The event’s 10th anniversary was as much fun as ever.

Superbooth demonstrates that trade shows benefit from having a unique character. Sure, there’s barely any phone reception, and maybe not everything is perfect, but the event makes up for it with a wonderful vibe and energy fueled by the creative people all around.

What happens when two self-funded companies with a shared love for crazy ideas find each other?
Dan Parks of Sound Semiconductor makes the analog filter chips inside the 3rd Wave. His company got the old team back together to design custom silicon for the kind of products you see at NAMM, in a market that any VC would call too small. Sound familiar? 😏
Bob spent over three years during the 3rd Wave’s development calling Dan, starting with the 2144, then discovering that the 2140 had everything he was looking for: the right sound, a built-in tempco resistor, and the ability to do resonance compensation. No-brainer.
Dan’s words to Bob at NAMM: “We love working with you guys. What you’ve done here is phenomenal.“ The feeling is mutual. Two independent companies, one shared philosophy: make what you believe in.

NAMM 2026 reminded us why trade shows still matter. Not because of square meters or booth counts, but because real conversations and unexpected connections still happen when the right people cross paths.
This was our busiest NAMM to date. We interviewed artists, captured performances, and produced content for @schoepsmikrofone , @directout , and @groovesynthesis , ranging from multi-camera 16:9 interviews to performance footage and vertical social formats. The goal was not volume, but versatility and intention.
A central part of our approach was thinking beyond individual deliverables and looking for meaningful brand connections. Big thanks to @collingsguitars , @genelec_usa , @analogdevices , and @soundsemiconductor for the collaboration and shared mindset.
Despite some obvious gaps in the exhibitor list and a challenging show floor layout, there was a palpable sense of optimism throughout the halls. NAMM remains a place where ideas are exchanged, relationships are formed, and future projects quietly begin.
