"Remains, the eponymous final song, is truly the best shoegaze can offer. Being initiated with a calmer tune, the wonderful sounds emitted by the guitar create a very easing atmosphere, once more being strengthened by the vocals, a true centerpiece of this whole album. Then, it suddenly changes into this wonderful, noisy symphony. A symbol of dread. Though not being supported by any vocals, the instrumentals are able to convey the emotions perfectly themselves, telling the tale of the end of everything so powerfully. The constant howling of the guitar and pounding of the drums are like the final breath of the world; a swan's song, agonizing, and painfully beautiful at the same time. Being suddenly cut off by the same melody from the beginning, it ends on a slightly happy note. All of a sudden, the sounds of rain, thunder, and bells tolling are the last things heard" - RYM user CQlover
