If youâre a brand, writer, or just down right fabulous human being looking to make positive change - love, respect and nurture nature and have bold and hopeful plans for our collective futures, we would love to work with you. And here is howâŚ
We're having the most delightful time drawing, painting, printing, chatting, walking, foraging, filming, photographing, and eating cheesy beans on toast (the Off Grid lunch time essential).â
For those of you who are new here, Off Grid is not only a top-draw design agency (humble brag), but we also run an online shop, and, like our agency - we're doing things a little differently. â
We started the shop back in 2019 (Remember those times? When we all just happily floated along in life and had no clue what was around the corner?!) as a creative outlet for ourselves. We love the agency work that we do, but it sometimes doesn't quite scratch that creative itch. We needed a reason to get away from the screen, to paint and draw and get messy - and, in turn, it benefitted our agency work too. It freed us up creatively, and it also attracted clients that liked our work.â
Yes yes, this all sounds lovely - but what's different? Well - all the work that we currently sell is created and made by ourselves. So everything that you see has come out of our weird and wonderful minds. Also, we only make most of our products to order (we do have some limited runs of items we can't make in-house). We hate waste, so all we need to keep in stock is all of the paper, card, and packaging - all of which can be used for whatever new creation we come up with. This all means that we can stretch our legs creatively, and not worry about housing piles of prints that no one wants or needs. â
Most of our work is focused on nature and the outdoors. We want to make things that bring the outside in, inspire you to explore, give your ideas for adventures or that simply celebrate the beauty of nature. â
We're busy behind the scenes at the moment designing some new products, as well as some Christmas cards and gift wrap which should all be coming to the shop in the next week or two. â
Keep an eye out for what's coming, and if there is something that you'd love to see in the shop, comment below or message us - we'd love to hear from you. â

An update...
There has been a lot of 'life' that has been 'lifeing' behind the scenes at Off Grid, and we thought we better update you. Founder, and one-half of Off Grid, Kim, will leave our little studio next month.
"Building Off Grid has been one of the best things I've done in my career/life. I'm incredibly proud of what Sally and I created and overwhelmed by the support we received from our clients, peers, and pals over the past eight years. We set out to do things a little differently and to grab onto life in all of its adventurous wonders. It's this love of building an adventurous life for not only me but for my family too that has brought me here. This isn't the end, just onto the next chapter."
Our Sal will be returning steadily to design projects over the coming weeks/months, and she is excited to work with many of you in the future.
We'll keep in touch ox
The New Year demands change, big plans, and new promises - but did you know that the New Year didnât used to start until March? In fact the months of January and February just didnât exist - the 10 month year ran from March to December, and the cold dark winter months werenât marked. It was Julious Ceasur that created the 12-month calendar that we know today, which starts in January. The old version, allowing hibernation and little activity in the dark months then reemerging in spring sounds wonderful and a little more in step with the natural world. Shall we all take a breath and take this ânew yearâ a little easier on ourselves?
Iâve always loved the idea of a fresh page that a new year can bring. Time to reflect and let go, time to look forward and make plans. Itâs a perfect time to take stock of where youâre at, make sure youâre looking after yourself and your business, and start to think about how to put those plans in motion as we step into the coming months.
Thatâs a wrap on 2024. Phew what a year! Major highs and lows and everything in between, but weâve worked with some amazing people and have very exciting plans for 2025. Have a good one, and weâll see you on the other side! #2024wrapped
Oh hi there. Iâm Kim, one half of the Off Grid duo. Iâm a designer, and have been creating purposeful brands, websites, books and marketing materials for people for over 15 years.
A connection to nature and a love and understanding of the natural world is very important to me. When Iâm not at my desk Iâm most likely to be found in the hills, or trees, or bobbing around in a lake. This transcends into the work that I do, using nature as my inspiration, my therapist, and my escape. I love to work with people and brands who think a little differently, who are change-makers, and who care about our beautiful world.
Iâm also a mum to a beautiful whirlwind of a child, and I have two incredibly naughty dogs. Iâm currently renovating an old 1980s bungalow with my partner in a village at the foot of the hills in Cheshire, and so my life is full of adventure and challenges at the moment.
If youâd like to have a chat or meet for a brew and a walk, please drop me a message if youâre:

NEW WORK: Uguisu is a kitchen company founded by two designers who wanted to bring amazing quality, high-end kitchen cabinetry to the online market. Uguisuâs collection is specially curated, sourced and deleivered to itâs end user in a refreshingly honest and transparent way.
A name with a Japanese connection was important for founder, Mioko. The name Uguisu comes from a small bird found in Japan, which can mostly be heard in the spring. It is also the name used for olive green, a colour that would be used for the first kitchen installed by the company, and would become the feature colour of the brand.
With this name in mind we started to play with ideas for the branding. We wanted to brand to feel honest, natural, clean and considered to reflect the products. We also explored how we could bring in more texture and personality with some hand drawn illustrations to help tell the story.
We played with the idea of the bird, and the icon came from the simple body shape with wings. We also liked how it felt like a stack of bowls. The logo wording was a bespoke font formed from individual pieces coming together. This again reflected the product, with all the kitchen elements coming together. The Uguisu olive green had to be our main feature colour, and then we sat it with an earthy contrasting orange.
The final brand reflects the Uguisu ethos. It is simple, yet warm and open - and it feels different from others that you might see on the market.

Iâm already missing the cinnamon buns. This weekendâs trip to Norway was a tiny glimpse into the most stunning country, with the friendliest people. I feel like Iâve only just taken a peak behind the curtain and, there is so much to explore! Have you visited Norway? Where shall we go next?! #visitnorway #sandefjord #granholmen #tønsberg
