Once Ashutosh Gowariker said, āSpontaneity! I think you tend to lose the innocence after your first film. It will never come back to you.ā
I would say, on 18th September 2024, I felt a strange mix of emotionsāinnocence, enthusiasm, passion, and dedicationāwhile working as a 2nd AD on my first ad film for Rivona Naturals.
Working on this project under
@thereal_serendipitous š¹and with
@twitchythoughtcreations was an experience I will never forget. It gave me the space to reflect on what it feels like to work with complete honesty, dedication, passion, and hard work on something you genuinely loveāand also what it feels like when you make mistakes in that very process. That day, I realized people can truly learn from their mistakes only when they make mistakes on something they genuinely care and love about. Thatās where the true realization comes in, and only then you can see the next, better step forward.
There were times during the journey of the project when questions aroseāwhen will it come out? how will it come out?āand between there were multiple pauses in work. Those pauses brought stress and the fear of losing. Itās natural. It can be controlled and channeled better. But in those moments, I discovered how your energy and potential truly work when you are committed to something you deeply love. I never knew I could work straight for 72 hours with only 2 hours of sleep in between. That experience made me realize the extent of my energy and potential.
The third thing I realized was about planning. You make plans, you imagine how things should go, and you want to stick to your way with first-time confidence. But as the day unfolds, you find yourself compromising with your way. Thatās when you learn how to adapt and correct in the momentāand how to improve for the next time.
I think all of this reflected the innocence I carried within me at that moment. I realized how much innocence shapes your life, teaching you, making you better in ways that confidence alone never can. Innocence gives you honesty, learning, dedication, understanding, realizationāand ultimately makes you better than before.
Thank you so much Geet for this opportunity and experience.
