This summer I spent a month in Colombia on a research expedition with the @escobar_lab_vt . I am so thankful for the experience I got and the friends I made. I wouldnโt trade the restless nights and countless big bites for anything. I can definitely say that this was a life changing trip that I am extremely honored to have dedicated my time to this project.

Hunted for the first time this weekend. I shot a Canada Goose, ๐ฝ๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐จ.
I want to thank the Richmond Chapter of Delta Waterfowl @rvadelta_waterfowl and Virginia Tech Professor Dr. Keven Hamed for the opportunity to learn about Waterfowl hunting and giving me an experience I wouldnโt have had otherwise. Through the Delta Waterfowls University Hunting Program I got a free Official Virginia Hunting Safety Course, the chance to practice shooting at @oldforgesportingclays , dinner, boarding, a hunting experience, and learned how to process waterfowl in the field. So excited to support Waterfowl conservation through my continued hunting and through encouraging others to hunt as well!

Graduation day was everything I dreamed of and more. Iโm beyond thankful for the friends who kept me going, the family who never stopped believing in me, and the professors who challenged and inspired me every step of the way.

I am still in awe that my college career is almost over. Iโve grown a lot in my time here at Tech, and one of my main motivations is the knowledge that I am making my family and community proud and that one day my children will be able to check the box that says โMy parent has a degree โ๏ธโ

Iโm so happy to have gotten the chance to dance on the Salsa Tech Performance team. Since my freshman year I have badly wanted to get involved more than the occasional lesson, but my course load, jobs, and club responsibilities always seemed to get in the way. I had so much fun learning and dancing with these awesome people
