The 8th March is happening in a few weeks & we wanted to share some of its history with you!
We recognise March 8th as deeply rooted in the long, interconnected histories of feminist struggles worldwide. Feminist resistance consists of histories and in the continuation of our internationalist struggle we have to think of those who marched before us and carry their legacies within us!
We need feminism with international solidarity, anti-capitalism, antifascism and anti-imperialism!

Heute waren wir bei der Demo in Villach.
Menschen haben sich versammelt, um Solidarität mit der kurdischen Bevölkerung zu zeigen – insbesondere mit den Menschen in Rojava (Nordostsyrien), die von Krieg, Gewalt und politischem Druck betroffen sind.
Auf der Demo ging es um:
- Frieden statt Krieg
- Menschenrechte & Selbstbestimmung
- Zusammenhalt über Grenzen hinweg
- Solidarität mit unterdrückten Minderheiten
Warum war die P.E.E.R.-Initiative dabei?
Weil Demokratie, Vielfalt und Menschenrechte nicht an Landesgrenzen enden.
Unsere Arbeit bedeutet, hinzusehen, zuzuhören und Haltung zu zeigen – gegen Unterdrückung, gegen Gewalt und gegen das Wegschauen.
Solidarität ist kein Extremismus.
Solidarität ist Menschlichkeit.

Am Sonntag berichten Eylem und Leona über Rojava, die Prinzipien und Visionen der Selbstverwaltung in Nord Ost Syrien, und die aktuellen existenzbedrohlichen Angriffe auf Kurd*innen und anderen Minderheiten in Syrien.
Das @cafe_schaeffin öffnet dafür ihre Türen ausnahmsweise auch am Sonntag. Offen ist ab 18:00 Uhr, das Programm beginnt um 19:00 Uhr.

In Wien um 13 Uhr 📍 ehem. Karlsplatz
Gemeinsam gedenken wir den Feminiziden in Österreich des letzten, sowie zu Beginn des neuen Jahres.
Wir klagen Feminizide weltweit an, insbesondere die feminizidale Gewalt, die gerade die kurdischen Zivilist*innen und Kämpfer*innen in Rojava erleben müssen.
Heute gedenken wir auch des Kampfes für Leben und Freiheit aller Menschen, die sich gegen patriarchale, imperialistische und koloniale Gewalt und Unterdrückung in Iran, Kurdistan, der Demokratischen Republik Kongo, Palästina, Sudan, Venezuela, der Ukraine und Grönland wehren.
