JAZZ AGAINST APARTHEID Music festival for Palestine 5.7., FLUCC Wanne, Vienna presents the artists: Qamareen b2b Abu Naima: You probably know them from the event series Raqsouna. For Jazz Against Apartheid they will craft hypnotic sets that flow between nostalgia and euphoria combining their both strength. Abu Naima brings the warmth of the Lebanese golden age into today’s club culture. Qamareen blends pop, indie, and electronic beats with a deep love for artists from the region. Nsheem creates soundscapes where raw emotion and intricate beats collide. Blending alternative hip-hop, soul and experimental elements with lyrics that explore themes of diaspora-identity, internal struggle and authenticity. From introspective storytelling to bold social commentary the multi-faceted talent has shaped his own distinguishable sound, which is both deeply personal and universally resonant. See you tomorrow Tickets in bio

First and foremost, Free Palestine! Being so far away from all the shells flying and the bombs dropping doesn’t allow for any of us to sit at home and be fully at ease - aslong as the Apartheid Regime of a Colonial State is executing fathers, mothers and children, we are never free to feel at ease. That is the exact reason why we need to stand up - stand together - stand tall! - while we do our best to help to whatever extent we can! We’re hosting the Charity of Jazz Against Apartheid here in Vienna because that’s what we CAN do! Collect donations, help families, bring the people together and create music. Join Us on the 7th of May. Help yourself to the taste of resistance. brought to you by :ya_hurrd? & amplifying freequencies @amplifying.freequencies

* Meshwar to Palestine! 18:00 VBKÖ - Maysedergasse 2/28, 1010 Wien Meshwar Mixtapes is an international project for collective listening that brings cultures of the Global South into lived experience through music and storytelling, making space for voices that are often marginalised. This workshop will delve into the origins and vision behind Meshwar Mixtapes, exploring how it functions as a platform for collective listening and cultural agency. Through a guided listening session, discussion on the curation process, and an open dialogue on the relationship between sound, identity, and activism, participants will be invited to reflect on how music shapes memory and belonging, particularly within diasporic and displaced communities. This event, hosted by VBKÖ, marks the opening of the two-part program by Meshwar Mixtapes in Vienna, made possible through a joint effort by Raqsouna, Bestand and VBKÖ. The program closes on March 15 at Kulturhaus Brotfabrik with a communal evening of food, Iftar, and music, closing with a Meshwar listening session focused on Kurds in Syria. ~ Deema Amr, also known as DJ DumTak, is a Berlin-based Palestinian multidisciplinary artist whose work spans film, music, and cultural activism. She began her career in filmmaking, making history with her award-winning debut A 7 Hour Difference—the first fiction feature directed by a woman in Jordan. As a DJ, she’s made her mark on Berlin’s vibrant club scene, blending eclectic genres with a focus on SWANA rhythms. Driven by a deep commitment to justice and representation, she founded Meshwar Mixtapes, a powerful listening session series that uplifts marginalized voices and reclaims collective narratives through sound.
