What sets us apart as planners and designers? YOU, our client! We are so intentional with our design and thoughtfully plan experiences that are informed by you and your story. We want guests to learn more about you and the things you care about through the moments we sprinkle throughout the day. For this wedding’s escort “card” station, our bride and groom honored their love story and their late loved ones, who were undoubtedly celebrating with them in spirit. The @stanlyranchauberge used a family recipe to recreate signature “Apple Pie Shots” that were inspired by one of our bride’s late father’s bars, BoJak’s, now run by her brother who still serves the drink there today. We commissioned @velvetfoxdesigns to create a custom floral pattern that incorporated icons that symbolized their love and loved ones. We used the pattern to decorate panels and signage at a special bar where these shots were served to guests and guided them to their table. The “easter egg” icons included an airplane (representing their love of travel and once-long-distance relationship), the Eiffel Tower (where our groom proposed), birthdates and race car numbers, a four-wheeler (our bride’s late brother won a National Championship and dreamt of going pro), golf clubs (for our groom’s late grandfather’s love of golf and his earliest memories being of golfing together), a chocolate cake slice (our bride baked this favorite cake for her late father’s birthday every year), our couple’s alma mater and more! It was truly so special to watch guests interact with this station, discover the icons within the pattern, happily toast to loved ones with the specialty shots and become a deeper part of our couple’s love story through the experience. Happily, what sets us apart is what we really consider to be the best part of our job! We never really post the personal cards and messages we receive from our couples. But this one literally brought me to tears and so accurately describes all the love, care and effort we put into each of our weddings and events - plus the magic that happens when our couples trust us and the process. With our couples’ permission, I am posting this here to remember this moment and share our heart. The year of the fire horse has been non-stop in every sense. Non-stop travel, opportunities, work, blessings, meetings, trouble-shooting, designing and more. We are grateful for all this year has brought us and all that is ahead. At the center of it all, we are honored to give our clients all our hearts. We hope it shows through every event we produce and will continue to keep our heads down and focus on what’s important - actualizing the gratitude we have for each of our couple’s through the celebrations we produce for them and their loved ones! This Vespa looks like it lives here - but we rented this baby and searched high and low throughout the venue to find the perfect spot to park it for some epic sunset and reception gown portraits. All the unexpected corners of our venues are usually what make me the happiest. When we work in a new space, we don’t look at what others have done there. We explore it with fresh eyes and like to design an experience that truly highlights the our couple within the space.
