This edition features Sofiane Vial, a DJ and producer whose journey spans the French Alps to Ibiza, with countless stops across Europe’s most vibrant dance floors. From intimate villa sessions in Ibiza to major festivals and international club residencies, Sofiane’s sound has evolved into a refined blend of breaks, minimal beats, and rolling house grooves.
Starting his career in techno, he quickly rose through the ranks, performing at I LOVE TECHNO Festival in Montpellier alongside luminaries like Tale of Us, Anfisa Letyago, and Âme. His deep digging and global travels have shaped a distinctive style—energetic, groove-driven, and rich in personality. Now, with over two years of residency at Why?Not in Zanzibar, he has shared the decks with leading artists, including a historic 4-hour b2b with Liquid Earth. For Sofiane, music is more than sound—it’s therapy, an energy exchange that connects him deeply with his audience.

Looking very much forward to welcoming @whynot.club.zanzibar resident @sofv_music , whose style blends house music’s roots with a minimal edge. Coming from the French underground and shaped by years of playing abroad, Sofiane has built a name for sets marked by sharp rhythms and a steady flow. Since first getting to know him during our winter getaway back in February we’ve met several times and strengthen both the musical and human connection. Can’t wait to have him with us in the back yard sauna at @jaegeroslo alongside our very own @trefvik and @todlouie
