Well, hello again. Our song ‘Forever’ is out now. Last July in Vancouver, I was hazy from a bit of Benadryl (and a stressful, allergic morning) and I was having the perfect afternoon at a lake. I read the best book of all time, Lonesome Dove, and swam — it was a balm. When I got back home, this song appeared all at once, like it had been waiting for me to notice it was there. (This, of course is the dream scenario that almost never happens). The song is a messy rush of emotion about an enduring love, an inside joke, a promise, a swim, a moment where you let yourself be seen, wanting to dance, wanting to be present. Someone once told me that making music is writing about the same thing over and over again until you get the point across, until you really get it right. This one feels a little closer to the truth. Thanks for listening.
