☁️We built a teeny tiny Time Machine☁️ 📼 Hello Retro 📼 Staying true to our retro inspirations, we cracked our brains trying to come up with the perfect debut album. Until we arrived at the destination, we would make our very own Walkman, Cassette, and Pillow Pouch Infused with elements from the Citypop and Synthwave era, we paired the music with words that depict how we feel. 🪩A Dreamy Night with Soft soft pillow in George Town.🪩 If you ever ask Soft soft Pillow to recommend one Malaysian city to a foreign friend, the answer would probably be George Town. Because somehow… this city feels like us. A little dreamy, a little weathered, a little romantic around the edges. Old Southeast Asian soul wrapped in vintage colonial buildings, where every street corner smells like stories left behind by another era. That spirit feels strangely close to our music. Soft soft Pillow has always embraced a uniquely Southeast Asian kind of “leong leong” charm — soft around the edges, slightly nostalgic, a little sweaty from the tropical air, but deeply alive. We love letting our music melt together with the culture we grew up in, until it carries the scent of where we come from. So yes — we’re finally coming to George Town for a show. Huge thanks to Jameson for the invitation, and we’re also incredibly excited to share the night with the wonderfully talented Laura Munan. And somehow, this beautiful night is completely free entry. Honestly, that feels a little unreal already. Whether you’re local or just passing through from somewhere far away, come spend a dreamy Friday night with us — sip some Jameson, drift into the music, and slowly dissolve together under the warm Penang night sky. Softies, see you there. 💖

On a few gloriously lazy, pillow-soft days, Soft soft pillow ended up writing a couple of new songs — somewhere between afternoon daydreams and “wait… how do live shows work again?” moments. ✨ Then, like a sparkly plot twist, we were invited to perform at the Levi’s fashion show, and suddenly our stage cravings came rushing back like caffeine in glitter form. Last night, we played a brand new song called “Coolies” for the first time, and secretly… we still have a pocket full of cute little songs waiting to escape into the world. The second album is slowly growing its wings, and we can’t wait for you to hear it. ☁️💫 Next up, we’ll be playing two more shows during Dreamy May — one in George Town and one in Johor Bahru. In 2025, Soft soft Pillow is taking a break from the stage and stepping into a full-on creative downtime. This marks our first year without any live shows since the band’s formation. For musicians, when new songs stop flowing, it might mean the heart’s running low. And playing show after show while feeling numb… that’s not who we are. But Softies, believe us, we miss the stage so much. Thank you for still looping our songs all this time. Even though it’s been years since our first album dropped, listening back recently still makes us proud. Those little flaws we recorded back then? They were honest, and they were real. So in 2025, we’re getting back to life, recharging, taking care of ourselves, and figuring out where our hearts are headed next. We’re letting creativity come naturally again, whenever it wants to show up. And honestly… a few new songs are already brewing — tracks we can’t wait to share when the time feels right. While they’re still quietly living inside our laptops, we hope the songs we’ve already released keep growing, keep spreading, and keep finding the people who can truly resonate with them. Thank you, Softies 💖 We’ll see you again. ☁️

With lots of love and tears, we bid farewell to Faridz in the closing of this beautiful chapter together. His artistic flair and genuine commitment turned many of our ideas into reality, and gave us the ability to explore possibilities freely. We will always miss Faridz dearly, and we hope you can join us in wishing him nothing but the best for his journey ahead.
