Not all growth is visible during the thaw, especially the kind that asks you to unlearn adaptation and return to yourself.

When I talk about “the thaw,” I’m speaking about that late-winter season of ripening. It’s the chapter right before something shifts in your life. The season where you can feel change taking root, even though there’s no visible proof yet.
For many sensitive, intuitive women and femmes, the “thaw” doesn’t look dramatic. It looks like quieter decisions, firmer boundaries, choosing not to overextend, and releasing what isn’t aligned.
That’s the first part of the late winter season.
 But then, something shifts.
As spring comes, the sprout breaks the soil. The invitation to show up differently also arrives. And even when you’ve prayed for growth, it can feel unfamiliar—even destabilizing. Imposter syndrome may arise as old identities and stories tug at you. That’s because expansion asks you to embody a version of yourself you haven’t fully lived into yet.

Episode 3 of @softalchemyspace —streaming now on YouTube and wherever you listen to your podcasts—speaks to both sides of this threshold: the rooting and the emerging. And through all of it, alignment doesn’t come through force. It comes through tending the soil of our evolution and through trusting ourselves when the growth we’ve been working toward begins to ask us to live it.

This is the heart of the work inside my 1:1 Soft Alchemy container, too: rooting fully into who you are, so that when it’s time to emerge, you can do so with clarity, boundaries, and self-possession.
If you’re standing at the edge of your own shift—still underground or just breaking through—let’s chat. Details about Soft Alchemy Coaching are at srlwellbeing.com, which is linked in my bio.

On Sunday, a new episode of @softalchemyspace arrives.
I recorded this conversation in a late-winter liminal pocket, where I could feel expansion happening before I had visible proof of it, and where I was being asked to show up in ways I didn’t feel prepared for.
This conversation is for anyone who’s been in a chapter where growth feels destabilizing and discomfort makes you question yourself. We talk about what I refer to as “not yet, but soon” energy, the way our nervous systems may need time to catch up to the ways we’re expanding, and how preparation seasons aren’t delays, but intelligence.
If you want to try something small right now, place one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly. Take one slow inhale. As you exhale, name the version of you this season is calling forward. Then offer yourself one affirmation. Something like: “I can be new here and still belong.” Or: “My nervous system can learn this.”
I hope you’ll sit with me this weekend. Share this with someone it may resonate with.
Episode 3, “The Thaw Before the Bloom,” premieres on YouTube and streaming platforms this Sunday.

This week’s episode of @softalchemyspace is a grounding practice. I created this meditation during a season when life felt suspended. While moving through my own notes and reflections, this practice emerged as a response to the pause we often want to rush through, but that holds so much wisdom when we let ourselves stay with it. The Quiet Between Things is a guided meditation for stillness, nervous system regulation, and life transitions. It was created for moments when you’re between chapters, learning how to rest without rushing the process, and when clarity hasn’t arrived yet. This offering invites you to soften into the body, listen to the wisdom of the breath, and explore what it means to surrender to uncertainty. It’s intentionally spacious and simple, so you’re invited to let my voice keep you company while your body settles into its own rhythm. This practice may feel especially supportive if you’re: • moving through an in-between season or life transition • feeling slowed down or paused by life, or as if you’re being recalibrated • longing to rest without guilt • needing a gentle place to land and listen inward Come as you are, stay as long as you need, and return whenever the quiet calls you back. Full episode is live now on YouTube and wherever you stream. 🙏🏽

Tomorrow morning, we fiiinally get to catch up.

So much has happened since the last time I shared a full episode on my YouTube channel. Where do I even begin?
I guess I can begin by saying that a lot unfolded in that stillness. During my time away, it became clear that I was ready to return to my podcast and that it was never meant to live separately from my channel. It was meant to become part of it.
That’s how Soft Alchemy came to be. What began as an evolution of In Case Nobody Told You grew into something much larger—an ethos that now holds my work across @srlwellbeing , my offerings, and the way I move through the world. It’s the result of sitting with what life was asking me to confront, and learning how to turn what I’ve lived through into medicine and a way of being.
This first episode is a slow burn by design. It’s an invitation to pause, to reflect, and to sit with the kind of stillness that forces us to be honest with ourselves.
The reflections in this carousel come directly from a moment in the episode where I pause and ask:
“What are the raw materials of your alchemy?”

I’m speaking to the experiences, challenges, and tools life has handed you. The things you’ve lived through and learned from that you now have the capacity to turn into growth, power, medicine, expansion, wisdom, etc.
This is a question I had to answer for myself, and this podcast is one of the things that emerged from those raw materials. As I prepare to cross the threshold into my 36th year in just a couple of days, I feel deeply grateful for where this chapter of my journey has guided me.
Episode 1, “The Stillness I Didn’t Choose,” premieres tomorrow on YouTube and across streaming platforms. I hope you’ll join me.

As I’ve been preparing for the relaunch of this podcast, I’ve been thinking a lot about how the idea of softness holds so many meanings, and how often it gets misunderstood.
On social media, for example, we often see “soft life” framed as ease or escape. Beautiful spaces. Curated calm. A kind of put-together gentleness that looks good from the outside and often carries the message: “put down anything that isn’t serving you or doesn’t make you feel good.” And while there can be truth in that, it can also slip into something performative and bypassy… which is why it’s never been the full meaning for me.
For me, softness isn’t an aesthetic or something to be shown off. It’s an act of presence and a way of staying in relationship with oneself. And in moments like this—when so much feels harsh, urgent, and dehumanizing—I don’t believe softness is a form of avoidance. I think it can actually be a practice of staying, of listening, and not hardening or disappearing when things get uncomfortable.
All this said, this isn’t necessarily a thesis for what the podcast will be, but it *is* the ground I’ve been standing on as I prepare to return and the posture that informs why this offering exists at all. The Soft Alchemy podcast is an altar space. It’s a place for transmutation, storytelling, breath, and return. A place where what I’m living becomes something we can sit with together, without the pressure to be polished, to perform luxury, or to have everything figured out.
The trailer arrives this Sunday, January 25, and I can’t wait for it to meet you.

Until then, I’m letting this reflection stand on its own, and I’m trusting that whoever it’s meant to reach will feel it. I’ll see you soon.

This space has always been about listening before speaking. After a season of rooting down, Soft Alchemy—formerly In Case Nobody Told You—is stepping back into the light. January invites what’s been quietly awakening. #embodiedlistening #ritualinmotion #seasonaltransformation #softalchemy #wellnesspodcast

The body often asks for stillness long before the mind is ready to listen.
So many of us were taught to override those signals by pushing through fatigue, pathologizing slowness, and treating the need to pause as something to fix rather than something to tend. But stillness carries information we can’t access through urgency or force. Something to reflect on: If life has been slowing you down lately, while it may feel inconvenient and even frustrating… it can also be a moment of recalibration, or an invitation to let something essential rearrange itself before you move again.
Stillness speaks quietly, but it also speaks clearly. Allow things to land in their own time. This is Soft Alchemy in practice.
