Hey everyone, it’s Kels and I’m still blushing about Tom’s post 🥹 but! this is not about me… ✨ Everyone meet Tom, Tom meet everyone ✨ The personification of a cocked eyebrow, Tom is coy (at first), sexy (always) and incredibly magnetic (also always). They’re one of those people you meet and know you need in your life forever. Their food knowledge goes deep. Like so deep, we’re talking molecular. When Tom isn’t voicenoting me ideas for Soft Launch, they’re coaching athletes on how to properly fuel and move their bodies for peak performance via @wylde.sport.nutrition . But Wylde Nutrition is also for the active punters and really works – I would know, Tom coached me last year and I’m still following the advice; feeling all the better for it! More than brains and brawn, Tom’s got heart. And a big one at that. They’re passionate about empowering those around them (professionally and personally), and building community. It’s one of the main reason I’m so excited to be partnering with them. 🫶 Tom actually invited themself and a friend to a trial Supper I did a few months ago (did I mention how cheeky they are?). Plopping themself right in the middle of the table, Tom got everyone chatting and laughing immediately. They also gave me honest-IRL-to-my-face feedback on the food, getting into the flavours and pairings, and strategising the next menu with me. All in their gorgeous Welsh accent. Hello, Tom here! The 1 half of Soft Launch Supper. Anyway, this is Kels - my partner in this little supper club situation and the only person I’d willingly share a kitchen (and a knife set) with. She’s amazing, like seriously! She’s obsessed with stock in a way that feels both educational and slightly concerning, and makes a serious leek and potato soup… even if she insists on calling it potato leek soup (don’t hate her). She fully gags over Julia Child (in gay terms that’s a good thing) and when it comes to meat or fish she knows what she’s fucking doing - like actually knows, not just vibes. She’s from Michigan, America, but don’t panic, like every normal person on earth she don’t like Trump baby yay! (otherwise this would’ve ended before it started). Equal parts chaos and precision, will chat non-stop while casually making something incredible, delicious and mind blowing, and somehow pulls it off every time. Anyway - she’s hot, she’s talented, and she’s feeding you. You’re welcome. It’s official… we’re a bonafide supper club bby ✨ We had our first Supper last Saturday and girl, was it a doozy in all the best ways possible. In our matching whites & candy striper aprons (for the Americans out there), we shopped & chopped, cooked & stirred, ladled & plated and then sat down to wine & dine with our guests.
