Cenci x Kappo Andō
This is a two day special collaboration between Kappo Andō and Cenci from Kyoto, on Wednesday and Thursday 25th and 26th of June 2025.
There will be one set menu of eight servings specially crafted for this event, for the price of 1.000 DKK. It will be an Italian-Japanese Cenci style menu with a few twists from Kappo Andō.
We will also offer a special beverage pairing for 800 DKK or beverages by glass.
There will be two seatings of each three hours. First seating will start at either 5PM or 5:30PM and the second seating is beginning from 8PM or 8:30PM.

Ken Sakamoto
Owner and head-chef of Cenci
Born in Kyoto in 1975, Sakamoto aspired to become a chef after tasting the wonders of Italian cuisine during a European trip in his university days. After graduation in 1999, he began training at the trattoria Il Pappalardo in Kyoto’s Higashiyama. He moved to Il Ghiottone, later serving as head chef for nine years. Sakamoto went on to open his own restaurant, Cenci, in Kyoto’s Okazaki neighborhood in 2014. He has earned great acclaim from local and overseas guests for his creative Italian cuisine utilizing Japanese produce.
He is widely known for his unfailing pursuit of sustainability in areas ranging from procurement practices to activities that support producers and regions, as well as industry-leading improvements to working conditions.
Cenci was selected in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants from 2022 to 2024 and has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2022. Sakamoto serves as a Director and the Kyoto team leader for Chefs for the Blue, a team formed in 2017 comprised of Japan’s top chefs actively working to achieve sustainable oceans and food culture.
Akihito Atsumi
Atsumi-san is the sous chef of Cenci with previous experience from Michelin restaurants such as Tirpse, L’Effervescence and Auberge de L’ill.
Both being long-time friends of Kappo Andō, so it’s a grand honor and pleasure to be hosting this event.
