Creating a makeup look that emulates the feel of the jewellery is one of my favourite things to do recently
Elegance, femininity , regality and timelessness all in one

Some women love handbags, some love shoes, I definitely love jewellery so these kind of shoots are always fun to be a part of.
Makeup and hair was done in a way where it feels understated but put together š¤
Working as a freelance makeup artist in the UAE means I get to meet different clients all the time and it enables me to maintain variety and keep my skills versatile/diverse.
Sometimes I work with clients who just speak my creative language. (Creatives will know exactly what I mean by this!)
As I re-entered the freelance space again last year, I wanted my work to be more intentional and what truly speaks to me.
I recently started working with a team where their creative direction feels natural to me and makes me feel good, I love creating natural looks that play with textures and become enhanced with lighting, angles and where the fashion speaks for itself. Thereās something so satisfying to me about effortless hair and a soft, barely there complexion.
Itās understated, itās simple and sometimes less is more š¤
As a makeup artist you have to understand how to balance your work to align with styling, lighting, the modelās features and the clientsā vision.
On this particular photoshoot, the client had very bold, regal jewellery pieces which were the main focus.
So of course, I decided to create a look with textures that donāt take away the attention from the jewellery, the ātoastedā tones are neutral enough to compliment the several different colour palettes we shot and accentuated enough to elevate the modelās natural features. And letās be honest, a sleek low bun will always be effortless, understated, clean and elegant.
I thought Iād re-introduce myself for all of my new followers š¤
This year Iām definitely going to take my online presence more seriously. Throughout my career I have always relied on word of mouth and have been very lazy on social media (constant inner battle of wanting to avoid being on my phone and knowing social media is one of the strongest and free marketing tools available to me)
Iāve been a hair and makeup artist for 13 years now and I promise to show you all of the cool things I get up to, I was my own worst enemy and didnāt capture some of my biggest achievements or have content as proof so let 2026 be different š
Thank you to my mentors at the beginning of my career, the girls at @theglamboxuk for being my second family for 9 years, the wonderful creatives whoāve helped me up the ladder along the way, my loyal and longstanding clients and to all of my new clients, you know who you are š¤
7 months freelancing in the UAE and Iām so grateful for all of the opportunities Iāve had so far.
I look forward to working with you this year.
