Drift, Mass (2025) for chamber orchestra
Between what was and what almost is
Substance holds, dissipates, and drifts through shifting densities
Fragments emerge, scatter, and reassemble into unstable bodies of sound
Motion hovers midair, directionless
Mass accumulates, trembles, pulses, disperses
Out of this vast field, individuated moments unfold — vocalizing, articulating, then receding into the ocean of others. The faceless collective briefly takes form, only to dissolve once more:
suspension
