Works : - Forgotten amongst the Living, 2021 Courtesy of the artist and Kunsthaus Bregenz - Encircled Tides, 2025 Courtesy of the artist - Until Then, 2023 Courtesy of the artist 🤲 #OtobongNkanga 🌹 @otobongnkanga #wiels @wiels_brussels #dirksnauwaert @dirk.snauwaert #sofiadati @sofia_datey #brussels #belgium #galerieinsitu #insitufabienneleclerc @galerieinsitufabienneleclerc #komunuma @komunuma

Saying goodbye to 2023, and to a season spent in company of Goda Palekaitė's Eye Dust: An Adaptation of a Novel to Come ~ an exhibition, or a dream made of bits of memory and fragments of history. ✨✨✨ The exhibition traversed disquieting times, present and past, offering warmth and togetherness through fiction. The space welcomed gatherings of sorts: reading, resting, toasting, reimagining intimacies... while writing its own time-bending story. Much gratitude to all those who joined the process, may our timelines keep crossing 🫧 Exhibition by @goda__palekaite Install and scenography: @palomabouhana , Anne Himmelmann (📸 #8) and @jeanpierre.bertrand Soundscape: Adomas Palekas Performative chef: @jonas_palekas Film made in collaboration with @adrijana_gvozdana . 📷 #9 The film Swallower of Shades co-directed by Goda Palekaitė and @graham__kelly premièred in the course of the exhibition, with a special intervention by Jonas Palekas.

Infinite gratitude to @blackstothefuture for the indelible cosmic energies they wove into the textures of our memories 🌙 To more unruly poems to come. @fallon_mayanja in The Frozen Lakes of Elle with @lazara_ra 2. @josefantjam Dislocations, in CINECLUB3 Exhibition views by @fabiensilvestresuzor : 3. *a Philistine* has nested in Galerie Imane Farès. It was so special to cross paths and practices with amazing @basmalsharif , still hearing the echoes of @leslie__basta 's mesmerizing voice. Thank you both for the generous sharing, and the team of @imanefaresgalerie for the warm hosting.

Launching our new season @beursschouwburg on 'Facing violence' with the exhibition 'Quiet Refusal' that questions/repositions/works through the layered narratives emerging from fluid encounters and other(ed) stories. @blackstothefuture creates a space of co-conspiracy where collage and assemblage are used as tools for meeting, colliding, and narrating practices and kinships. With @sybilcoovih @kyokim_ciao @fallon_mayanja @nicolas_pirus @ma.wena Gratitude to @_suf.fix_ and @jeanpierre.bertrand for joining this venture with full energy & support 💥 Special thanks to the French Embassy & Institut Français for accompanying and supporting the project. ~ Listening through the cracks ~ What a chance to confabulate together with three amazing artists, imagining together how our relation to time, knowledge and history could be otherwise. Thank you #golnesarezanezhad Basma al-Sharif @hal_sharif9000 and @ghita_skali for sharing your insights in this interview-booklet. "The exhibition zooms in and out of an unruly gathering of voices, imagining what some of those confabulations might sound like. There is some gossip, rumors are circulating, traveling through time and space. We move through fiction-telling and coded patterns, voices that shape (other) narratives while questioning the frame of proverbial tales, imaginaries, myths and memories. The ground is shaking beneath the multitude, opening up cracks through which testimonies are distorted, memories are glitched, myths are re-written. Listening through the cracks is an invitation to imagine different relations to time, embodying multifaceted future tenses and delving into the rhythms of an unwritten story." Launched in the frame of Tashweesh festival, the exhibition goes on until 16 December, and we've cooked up some gatherings to meet the artists. 🎼 Friday 4 November 🎼 A reading group with Basma al-Sharif centering around her fiction story A Philistine. 📍Saturday 10 December 📍A tour and discussion with Golnesa Rezanezhad, tuning into the multiple layers of the research on rug-weaving herstories and collaborative practices she unfolds in Weaving the Past into the Present. 🌬 There will be some talk and study with Ghita Skali, something exceptional and unheard-of. How to treat colonial archives and memories of coloniality? Where do our family trees meet economies of power? How do material cultures engage with compensation and reconciliation? Looking into rituals of recompense, Onyeka Igwe lays questions on the table for us to share, dig deeper, reflect and experience together. We'll gather on Saturday 25 June to watch films, talk, write and simply be together 🌱 @beursschouwburg
