I am Sofia Alejandro Barrios, a filmmaker born in Monterrey,
Mexico, and from McAllen, Texas. I am currently a senior at the
University of Texas at Austin pursuing a major in Radio-
Television-Film, and a minor in Latino Media Arts and Studies,
with a focus on directing and cinematography.
My filmmaking is curated from the baseline of passion,
community, culture, and most important, love. Growing up an
artist, creating art through the medium of film has been my
biggest aspiration.
The lens of my life largely affects my vision,
which manifests in my creations. With this, I aspire to create stories and beautiful images that illustrate unique perspectives. Driving untold stories to the
entertainment industry.
