Throwback to last Saturday’s ultimate Mixer.
A blend of sounds, good people, and some hilarious moments. Welcoming @van_lefan and @tennysonking to the Sofar Taipei stage for the first time, alongside Jade Fest.
We kicked things off with @van_lefan , now based in Vancouver, sharing theatrical ballads and personal stories.
Followed by @tennysonking , bringing positive energy and even more powerful storytelling, currently touring around Taiwan for the next few weeks. We closed the night the only way we know how, with that Sofar magic kind of bang.
Our OG Sofar Taipei artist @imt1bigbaby took the stage with a full band hip-hop crew, ending in a jam session featuring our own multi-talented fam: @tonyfromdcsays and @ondecksound . Big love to everyone who came out.

She cooked up a collage of culture in our living room; I laughed, cried, and held strangers like we were soulmates. Here’s what our Taipei curator @stephanie_amanda had to say about the✨magic✨ of Sofar. “It was just one of those mid-week plot twists on a Wednesday night in Bangkok. My phone and power bank were dead, I was lost, wandering the streets and end up in a cool vinyl store/vintage shop/cannabis cafe/bar to charge my phone. I end up meeting and hanging out with the couple that own the bar. Turns out they are in a (very cool) band. Plot twist 1. We realized that I had reached out to them years ago to play a Sofar in Taipei when we first started up. Plot twist 2. Another guy sitting in the corner with his partner having a beer end up joining us. Turns out he’s also a musician from London, and has played Sofar shows all over the UK. He was part of the Sofar Summit a few years ago. Naturally we spent all night in that place swapping stories and songs. It was the perfect example of Sofar magic, and reflection of that global community. What are the odds though? Our 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, and it was everything we wanted it to be. 𝔹𝕖𝕒𝕦𝕥𝕚𝕗𝕦𝕝 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕠𝕤.     We closed out the year the only way we know how: with good music, good people, and that 𝕊𝕠𝕗𝕒𝕣 𝕞𝕒𝕘𝕚𝕔. A 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐬, new connections, and beautiful energy. An all-new artist lineup and brand-new Sofar crew joining our 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐝-𝐛𝐮𝐭-𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐦.     Yes… our curator @stephanie_amanda and co-MC @mandymadandy even flew in from different countries for the show, racing down to the last minute to craft costumes in the bathroom stall. Was it worth it?
