Yes… it’s that time of year again.
June is just around the corner, and with it comes one of our favourite shows to bring to life.
This year, we’re stepping into something special at Scene — featuring LARGE MIRAGE @largemirage , Little Forest @worldoflittleforest , and Abstract Human Radio @abstracthumanradio , live from The J Theatre (Noosa Heads).
Step into a world shaped by the golden era. Led by Australian psych-rock outfit LARGE MIRAGE — who recently supported AC/DC at their Sydney show — Scene is a live experience that’s noisy, physical, and alive. Driving rhythms, heavy bass lines, and three-part harmonies unfold into hazy, hypnotic jams, all set within a space built from light, texture, and immersive art.
Warm analog tones meet a contemporary edge as local and interstate artists come together, blurring the line between sound and visual expression. This is more than a gig — it’s a shared, immersive experience designed to be felt as much as it is heard.
We can’t wait to see you there.
Tix in bio!
Some songs asked for your attention.
Fink asked for your silence.

In a room lit low and listening closely at @mapleton.pub , every note seemed to hang in the air a little longer.
Thank you to everyone who shared such a beautiful, intimate evening with us.

This is not your usual Sofar Sounds show.
This one is LOUD.
26/June @thejnoosa
Big riffs, stacked amps, fuzzed out guitars and a full-scale rock ’n’ roll theatre experience right in the heart of Noosa Heads. 💥
Headlining the night are LARGE MIRAGE — one of Australia’s most electrifying new rock bands, known for explosive live shows, psych-pop melodies, searing guitar work and undeniable stage presence.
Think: The Beatles meets Hendrix meets Led Zeppelin — reimagined through a fearless modern Australian lens. Flared jeans, rich harmonies, thunderous grooves and songs made to be played loud.
After supporting AC/DC at two sold out stadium shows in Sydney, selling out headline dates across Melbourne and Sydney, and appearing at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival and Party In The Paddock, LARGE MIRAGE are bringing their high-voltage live show to Noosa for one massive night.
LARGE MIRAGE lineup:
Kolya Chan — lead vocals, lead guitar
Blake Rochester — bass
AJ Stanton — keyboards, backing vocals
Bailey Brown — drums, backing vocals
Don’t miss your chance to experience LARGE MIRAGE live. Secure your tickets early, dive into the streams, and become part of the journey. ⚡️💕

We were lucky enough to have Julian Homewood @julianhomewoodmusic join us at our latest Sofar Sounds show for a beautiful solo set.
A Sunshine Coast / Gubbi Gubbi Country artist, Julian is known for blending cosmic country, psychedelic folk, and jazz into rich, immersive soundscapes, all driven by deep storytelling around nature, love, and spirituality.
With years of experience playing across Australia and stages like Woodford and Caloundra Music Festival, he brought a warm, captivating energy to the room that stayed with us long after the night ended ✨

We had the pleasure of hosting @tom.neilson_ & @juliabatesmusic for a special duo set at his cozy surf shack in Marcoola last month — pure Sofar magic ✨
Sunshine Coast local, Queensland Music Award recipient, and fresh off stages like Woodford Folk Festival, Tom brings heart, honesty, and serious storytelling to every performance.
Thanks for having us, Tom!

POV: you’re at soundcheck before a Sofar Sounds show… empty room, quiet nerves, and the first notes filling the space before anyone else hears them.

Still thinking about last month’s Sofar Sounds backyard gig 🌿✨
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Ama @amasayshi — and wow. From the moment she picked up the guitar, the whole space just felt different. Raw, honest, and completely captivating.
Hailing from Western Sydney, the 23-year-old Sri Lankan/Australian artist is carving out her own lane in indie pop with storytelling that hits you right in the chest. Every lyric feels lived-in, every note intentional. It’s the kind of vulnerability that makes you pause and actually listen.
Ama’s songs unpack relationships in all their messy, beautiful forms — delivering an emotional but refreshingly real perspective. You can hear the influence, but what stands out most is her voice — not just sonically, but in the way she tells her story with such clarity and depth.
Grateful we got to share that moment with her đź’«
If you haven’t already, keep Ama on your radar — she’s only just getting started.
