Being blind is complicated. Sometimes you feel invisible, like no one has ever considered your experience or life valuable. Sometimes you feel over-exposed, used, exploited for pity, and wholly unable to escape from your outward identity. Both of these feelings are real and both are valid. The most important thing thing though is that we are seen, recognized and appreciated as whole people, living alongside everyone else. Grateful to the
