One of my favorite vintage cars was made right here in So Cal. During World War II, in 1944, North American Aviation (NAA) built a huge parts distribution center at 2060 E. Imperial Highway. After the war ended, in late 1945, NAA was selling off equipment from that building. In October 1946, the War Assets AdministrationI transferred ownership of that building to Nash-Kelvinator for automobile production. Employee housing shortages, insufficient water supply, and sewer line connections, delayed production until October 1948 when the first 1949 Airflyte automobiles were produced. The streamline modern aerodynamic design was wind tunnel tested and designed for efficiency. The Airflyte interiors were described as "cavernous" - a "Twin Bed" option transformed the car's interior into a sleeping area. The Nash 600 sedan was the more affordable version, the Nash Ambassador rode on a larger wheelbase and boasted a larger engine. Nash continued making different automobile models there until 1955 when Howard Hughes bought the factory for his growing Hughes Aircraft/Electronics empire, the facility is now part of Boeing’s space and satellite business. /watch?v=oGopLn5Apf8&t=198s #nashrambler #letsgoramblin #vintagecars #nash #madeinLA
Came across this gorgeous custom 1969 #scrambler at the @marconimuseum in Tyson CA. I've seen it on YouTube but never saw it in person. Although I saw it from a distance, the color was gorgeously vibrant! #letsgoramblin #americanmotorscorporation #rambler
Dig’n this cool vintage Gasoline sign. Gasoline prices in Los Angeles during the 1950s generally ranged from 23 to 34 cents per gallon, staying remarkably steady throughout the decade. While prices varied slightly by year and brand, California drivers often paid roughly 25 to 35 cents per gallon for regular gasoline by the mid-1960s. I don’t need to tell you how inflated gas prices are today. It doesn’t help I own several gas guzzling vintage ramblers. #letsgoramblin #classiccars #gasprices @socalramblers

1970 Commodore Blue AMX Interior. This is my favorite AMC dashboard. AMC definitely produced some beautiful interiors. Owned by our buddy Mark Fletcher. #letsgoramblin #americanmotorscorporation #amx #musclecarsdaily #vintaeinteriors
I'm really loving the Rambler. After a lot of time, hard work, and attention to detail, it's really coming into its own. There is still plenty we plan on doing to achieve a final vision. Little by little. ✨️✨️✨️ @danielleromero5555
Gotta love these rambler american wagons. Compact, reliable, comfortable and very stylish ' #letsgoramblin #americanmotorscorporation #rambler #longtoof
Who said ramblers are not cool with the younger generation? There was a time when parents didn't want their daughters going out on dates with guys who drove nash ramblers because the front seats turn into a bed. Our buddy @psychobillydude1964@psychobillydudeflicks beautiful 1962 rambler classic. #lwtsgoramblin #classiccars #rockabilly #pinup #socal
