Yesterday morning, Snohomish County Elections conducted and passed the Random Ballot Audit, also known as a Risk-Limiting Audit, to confirm post-election results for the February 10 Special Election.⠀
⠀⠀
This audit compares randomly selected paper ballots to the machine-counted votes for those ballots to provide statistical evidence that the machine-counted results match the votes reflected on the paper ballots. Random Ballot Audits are just one of the many tests and audits Snohomish County Elections conducts before and after each election to ensure votes are properly counted.
⠀⠀
