Join us in a night celebrating queer joy, creativity, and connection in all its beautiful forms at Rhythms of Resistance: an arts and music festival in support of @rainbowmigration and their ‘No Pride in Detention’ Campaign We’re so excited to be transforming @thepicklefactory_easton into a beautiful, funky home for you lot ! We’ve got 4 rooms planned for you, get ready to explore: Your Dancefloor — We’ve got an incredible line up of queer DJs bringing Brazilian funk, salsa, baile and more !! Plus, a live band to kick the night off with a BANG. This dancefloor is gunna be a delicious space to move n groove together The Living Room — head upstairs to our more relaxed, creative space for film screenings, creative workshops with plenty of rugs and cushions to lounge on Our Kitchen — browse craft stalls and support local creatives whilst grabbing a drink or two… ALL BAR PROFITS TO RAINBOW MIGRATION, fill ya boots !! Backyard — get toasty around the bonfire taking a moment to connect, reflect, and recharge under the night sky with a new friend or wander through our immersive art installations All of that and more awaits at Rhythms of Resistance! This was such an incredible night surrounded by so many wonderful people; I felt such peace in the room with you all and had a lot of fun weaving around with my camera. Thank you to everyone who helped put the event together - Neto, my fellow organisers, the photographers, makeup artists, performers, poets - and to everyone who came to support their friends and this vibrant arts scene we are so lucky to have here in Bristol. Thank you to the PRSC for such a beautiful venue, and to @marmalade_trust , @fuze_uk and @switched_campaign for partnering with us for this event. Over the coming weeks we will be posting the photos and writings displayed at the event, along with some extra behind the scenes bits :). Project 1 - A Love letter to Broadmead: Community Crochet Project ➡️ Spread across three free sessions we invite Bristol’s crocheters of any level to contribute to our patchwork granny square cardigan. In the new creative unit formed by @compasspresents in the galleries where it will be presented as a symbol of Bristol community.
