✨ Happy World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People! ✨ We believe that all young people deserve to feel the magic of live performance β€” and that magic looks and feels different for every child. Last year, our production Dussskk was made with, and for, sound-seeking teenagers. It was a space where sound wasn't just heard, it was felt. Where the stage didn't demand stillness, it invited exploration. Theatre has the power to meet young people exactly where they are; to inspire, elevate and entertain, all on their own terms. Here's to every young person who has ever felt the world shift a little when the lights go down πŸ’–πŸ’› Pictured performer: Shiori Usui πŸ“Έ: Tiu Makkonen --- Dussskk was made with an outstanding creative and production team: Conceived and Composed by Claire Willoughby Co-Directed by Claire Willoughby and Greg Sinclair Created with and performed by with Bryn Thomas, Claire Willoughby, Jon Whitten, Nerea Bello and Shiori Usui Set and Costume Designer - Emma Bailey Sound Designer - Rob Willoughby Lighting Designer - Katharine Williams Choreographer - Dr Aby Watson Costume Supervisor - Zephyr Liddell Creative Access Consultant - Max Alexander Dramaturg - Eszter Marsalko Producer - Isy Sharman Production Manager - Craig Fleming Technical Stage Manager - Craig McNeill Stage Manager - Lauren Murison

"Groundbreaking work: DUSSSKK demonstrates that the arts are for everybody, but not all of the arts are open to everybody. It is important that we engage not just with the idea of performance being an art form that is defined by artists, but performance is an artform which is designed democratically, by the very people it is supposed to serve. Work like DUSSSKK gives credence, credibility and respect to a marginalised group who are ill-served." @fringereviewuk πŸ“Έ Photo by @tiumakko #Dussskk

Saturday 22nd November from 3 pm at Garnethill Park, Glasgow - a performance of HORSES! Part medieval fair, part performance art, part protest in motion β€” HORSES is inspired by the radical justice tale of Michael Kohlhaas, a medieval horse dealer. Using improvisation, ballet, contemporary and street dance, group dynamics, and games, HORSES explores dance as a form of activism, community-building, and creative agency. The event is free. Running time: 50 minutes. Access info: The event will be outside, and is wheelchair accessible. In the event of bad weather, the performance will be held at Garnethill Multicultural Community Centre. We're delighted to be working with @garnethillmcc and are grateful to @barrowland_ballet for their support. Thank you to @magnorththeatre for allowing us to start work on Horses through their Rough Mix residencies. Photo by @stillmotionarts
