I was delivering pizzas on a cold, snowy night in Mt. Pleasant, MI when a haunting guitar line seeped through the college radio station and into my earballs. Moments later a heavy groove kicked in that demanded my full attention. I pulled over and just stared at my car stereo. It was Zombie Prescription. I was familiar with Steps and LGS, but this was something different. It sounded INCREDIBLE and it felt MONSTROUS! Thanks to @snapcaseband for completely changing the game. Happy birthday to the no-skip masterpiece PROGRESSION THROUGH UNLEARNING!!
More Snapcase photos - these I took on December 29, 1994 at Pearl Street in Northampton, MA.

Snapcase was one of those genre defining bands of the 1990s. From their first demo in 1991, their Comatose 7" in 1992, Lookinglasself in 1993, and everything since, they were always pushing the hardcore sound and moving it in new and unique ways. It's why I've always loved them and still do.
Here are a few photos I've took of them at four different shows between 1993 and 1995. More photos here: /category/bands/snapcase/

Rock N Roll arts N crafts - aka framing like an adult - pt1 @snapcaseband 01/22/05, 05/13/22 & 10/05/24 ➡️ NC, Buffalo 🦬 to Birmingham. @wermgoesgonzo drove @wrbchris@hitzdrums and I through a blizzard for “the final” #snapcase show. Thank you @dustinperry & @doitbooking my camera and I greatly appreciate it. Since my first snapcase show in Aug 1998 - dare I say the most influential band on my musical journey.

#TBT Ok, so I think at this point it's no secret that I spent the first 20 years of my "employment" history working in music. I've sat down and tried to figure this out a couple of times and the number I have arrived at for the total amount of concerts and events that I attended, participated in, promoted, etc is somewhere in the general vicinity of about 3,000.
Anyway, this was the best one of all of them. Here's the story.....
I've frequently mentioned the band @snapcaseband on this page and on March 4th, 2001 there was not a musical act on Earth that I was more excited to see. At this point, they were a few months post release on Designs for Automation and were probably at their absolute peak. When I found out that they were coming to the Nile Theater in Mesa with a bunch of pop punk bands, I was definitely excited.
The night rolled around and I had showed up early as I did to most shows like this. It was immediately clear however that something was wrong. Snapcase was having bus issues and were not there. Hours passed and the night progressed and still they had not arrived. This forced the show to move up and just as the headliners were setting up (I believe Blink 182), they arrived. Convinced that we could still get them on stage in some capacity, the band's manager, myself and another gentleman named @cnnrwds from Tucson began negotiating with the venue to try to figure this out. They were unwilling to budge. Snapcase wasn't playing there.
It very quickly became clear that the majority of the crowd was actually there to see Snapcase were starting to get restless. The mad dash was on to try to move the show. Myself and Connor started hitting payphones and digging into our networks and trying to figure out how we could make this work, when he had a thoroughly ridiculous idea: I know the guy in Tempe who owns that Chinese restaurant. We can maybe move it there. The decision was made and we all started to work our way through the crowd letting people know that Snapcase was now going to play The Lucky Dragon.
Continued in the pinned comment, because Instagram's character limit is trash.....

Snapcase were firing on all cylinders during this era.
The internet tells me that this show also featured Boy Sets Fire, Death By Stereo, Cave In and CKY. I only have photos of BSF and Snapcase from this show, probably because of the lack of film. Sadly I’ve only shot them at this show and at Krazy Fest a few years earlier.
