There's so much to say about how incredible it is to see Youth of Today live. Every single time, they bring the energy and positivity I felt listening to them back in the 1980s. It was no different at this show. As a young drummer in the 1980s, I idolized Sammy. He literally played drums for so many of my favorite bands. It's always so inspiring to see so many hardcore legends on the stage at once. YOT will always be amazing.

Underdog at The Brooklyn Monarch in New York - April 26, 2026. Epic show with Gorilla Biscuits, Straight Ahead, Youth of Today, Outburst, Identity Shock, and Stigmatism. I have a special place in my heart for Underdog. It was Underdog's show in Providence back in 2017 that got me going back to seeing shows after a long hiatus. When The Vanishing Point came out in 1989, I listened to that record almost every day for an entire year. It's still on constant rotation for me. I've been able to see Underdog a few times over the past couple years and they're always incredible. We even booked a show for them in Providence last November. They always kill it.

Outburst at The Brooklyn Monarch in New York - April 26, 2026. Epic show with Gorilla Biscuits, Straight Ahead, Youth of Today, Underdog, Identity Shock, and Stigmatism. I have no words to explain just how awesome it was to see Outburst. I first picked up their Miles to Go 7" when it came out in 1989 from In Your Ear Records in Providence. Every week I would go there and browse the records, look at the record labels, look at the bands that were included in the Thank You list, and decide what to buy based on that. When I first heard that drum fill for No Choice, I knew it was gonna be awesome. I wish they had put out more music than a demo and a 7", but what they do have is just fucking amazing.
