Saturday’s Second Annual Hot Dog Eating Invitational was a night for the ages, as nine charismatic competitors stepped onto the UKIE Club stage and ate for glory. A sold-out crowd watched in awe as Jesse “The Wildcard” James raced Spanky down to the wire to win back-to-back championships. As our mustard-slingin’ host @bracebelden raised the hand of our repeat champion, @jimebrown666 issued a harsh warning to all competitors, stating his intent to challenge for the championship at next year’s event.
A $1500 donation was made in the name of Jesse James to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society for his victory. Another $250 donation was made in the name of Alex Tominsky to the South Philadelphia Community Fridge.
