Sad news! Our bass boy @acetaminophyn is leaving town for the motherland :((( the prairies call and he must answer! That means (most likely) this Friday is gonna be his last show with us! What a fuck hey! How dare he! But its been an absolute pleasure for Rory and I to have rocked with Koenig this last year! He is a stellar person, a great friend and a killer bass player! So come rock out with us one last time this Friday at @redgateartssociety where we slam with @taxaband @_ghost_teeth and Edmonton's mighty @halfdeadyeg Itll likely be our last show till the fall while Rory disapears into fishland and we search for our next bassist! Debuting at Edmonton’s Purple City fest in 2024, 2025 has seen the band become a mainstay in Vancouver’s punk scene, tour across western Canada and release their debut EP “Wet Cement” ———————————— Note from the booker: Smashed Glass is a frenetic, high octane slug to the throat. A teeth cracking take on Canadian post punk. Angular, biting, seething, sexy and strange. The members of this project are veterans of the weirdo Can-punk world with bands like the formally active BC based punk project “Brass” and Edmonton psych-noise rockers “Dead Fibres”. The three musicians in @smashedglassvan have their ten thousand hours and dozens of years of stage time between them. There is no better catharsis than sweat, punishing rhythms and explosive guitars. Kennedy: the lead singer and I have shared the stage together a number of times over the years in my previous life as a noise rock front person and I have always been enamoured by my friends ability to tap into that creative ether. The moment the song starts he’s engulfed by the spirit. I’ve seen him play to 5 people and a bar tender and hundreds of people jammed to the rafters sitting on each others shoulders and he’s always on point. They take the stage March 13th, after a quick set change from @truthinthewell
