In California, when you request absentee and sign up for notifications--you get notified when they've mailed your ballot to you, when they've received your ballot back AND when it has been counted.
"Bank the votes" by voting early and make it easy to get our vote counted.

Life has taken up a lot of space, so the last days have been really tiny acts: speaking with neighbors and some surprising responses. Writing letters to encourage the vote, reading the news and working on these postcards. Looking forward to a bit more space and bumping up my activist energy with the Women for Harris call later this evening.

The Wednesday-Women-for-Harris call on Wednesday was AMAZING. "It's a master class in political organizing"-and it was.
Yesterday I wrote the first 5 letters to my adopted group of leaning-let's-encourage-them-to-voter in the swing state of Wisconsin (where I grew up and lived much of my earlier life).

Yesterday was a light day. I spoke with 2 neighbors and 3 volunteers at the SPCA shelter.
Today I downloaded my first 20 voters in the swing state of Wisconsin to write them a bipartisan encouragement to vote letter via Vote Forward. They say their research shows that receiving a letter is more statistically impactful than a postcard, and bipartisan more effective than partisan. (10 minutes)
I spoke with 3 "undecided, haven't done any research" young voters at the barbershop. One gave me a reason why she's leaning toward Trump: "The republicans are tougher than the democrats on child sexual predators." I have no idea-but now I have something to research so I will know when I see her in a few weeks. (10 minutes)
Later I'm going to attend the first weekly "Women Wednesday for Harris calls. (1 hour)

On Saturday I rested. (rest is an act of rebellion)
Yesterday I signed up to write non-partisan letters encouraging people (in the swing states) to vote.
Today, I spoke with two registered-but-not-planning-to-vote, undecided voters and encouraged them to vote. “Tell me, who should I vote for?”
That was easy!

Today I spoke with 2 men at the auto repair store about voting in the election. I got to practice my new favorite opener (which will be featured here soon.) Werner and Jonathan are today's voting-for-Harrisheroes, so the conversation was easy.
