Made a frame for brother Kyle @chez.reyes piece ‘Take it Easy ‘Ol Boy’ — and I let him watch & film me do the entire process 😆 Shou Sugi Ban to the exterior of frame so to touch, you feel the ridges between charred spring/summer layers and strong fall/winter still raised in the Red Oak. India ink stained within the frame. Box joints fastened with Birch dowels. No metal used. 🖤Big love to @chez.reyes@studioroosi 🫶🏾 Kyle you are so fucking gifted
Ciao amici 🌞 a few weeks ago @Fiverr & @highsnobiety invited me to interact with their new range of office essentials titled ‘Other Angles’ – a capsule collection of items designed in partnership with @bi_rite studio (NYC). These items have been created with WFH creatives and freelancers in mind to help cultivate creativity wherever they choose to work. I got to interact with these items, which you can check out on my stories. The Inspiration Deck, swipe left to see, has some interesting ways to challenge and provoke thoughts, but my main takeaway is the impact that our surroundings can have on our creativity. MATT MARTIANS STUDIO TABLE 001 — man, it’s been two years since Matt and I started the concept for his music studio table and now it’s finally in your home. The table top is made of 1” (25.4mm) optical grade resin patented by @3form + custom oil-paint finished poplar + red oak + birch ply base systems to inset 1/4” (6.35mm) into the bottom of table bases. Edges seamed together with @3m VHB. Matt, thank you for being one of the first people to believe and push me in my practice besides myself — forever grateful. Finally getting back to posting between the projects, as @parnous_toujours is growing. Here is a bar I built for @somm_time wine bar in LES. Materials: Various cuts of Red Oak, (Grade AAAA) Plain Slice Red Oak Ply, two stain process: pre-stain + Ipswich Pine 221 stain, clear satin Osmo sealer. The Red Oak moulding trim was one of my favorite pieces to make, in addition to the slight chamfers on the Red Oak paneling. The lighting will be diffused dramatically into the grooves and onto the molding. Go grab a 🍷and sit at the bar located at 254 Broome St. Huge thanks to @groovycaleb for the assist with this one 🙏🏾
Some personal projects in the ‘down’ time ~ a remake of Gerrit Rietveld’s ‘Steltman Chair’ but with some minor changes; A chest for my boxers, socks n’ stuff; A modular low table. All made from leftover wood from past projects. Douglas Fir studs, Ash, Maple ply, Baltic Birch ply, all sanded smooth up to 320, stained + sealed with natural Danish oil finish. The imperfections and I are at peace.

As a male, I know I could never amount to the self-care needed as women do. ‘Yoni Steaming’ has been around for ages and is widely known to keep the woman reproductive organ [and their body, in all] in full health. This is only a small token for what I know I can help with, lol. Materials: Cedar, upholstered Baltic Birch ply, Douglas fir structure, brass hinges, and these brass nails I tacked in each by hand/hammer. 💕
