Hooray! Today it’s 12 years since my debut album Brain Mash was released on vinyl, CD, and stream on Lamour. The painting for the cover was done by the world’s best @rolfcarlwerner , and the release party was held in a secret industrial location in Gävle. Dark ambient that still holds quality, I think 🥳

I had the honor of remixing a track by Árstraumur, created together with electronic music legend Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode / Yazoo). The original is from the album Aurora, winner of Best Ambient Album at the German Schallwelle Awards.
My Slim Vic Remix takes it into deeper waters — hypnotic downtempo dub-electronica with rolling grooves and a slightly epic atmosphere.

We start off with a pure 80:s synth vibe (that bass! those toms!) by the mighty Lizette Lizette, mixed by Jon Bordon. After that, a glitchy but clubby (and dare we say slightly caribbean?) reinterpretation by famous master maverick Rivet.
Before breaths can be catched, we move right into the relentless and brutal work of modular wizard Majestoluxe, only to finish with the insane hyper-techno of our label mate Slim Vic.

Last Saturday I was finally on stage again in my hometown of Gävle. It was a fantastic evening with wonderful concerts by Pelotone and Comfort Module as well as DJ Nano Ona. In my live set I mostly tested new songs that are unreleased, with the idea of seeing if it could be the start of a new album. I think it was appreciated.

Have we won the Nobel Peace Prize? No, it is not awarded in the Blue Hall, Stockholm City Hall, but in Oslo. However, we, Åsa Larsson & Rasmus Diamant, did the opening act yesterday at the Entrepreneur of the Year Gala. Powerful and elegant, thank you for a wonderful evening!
