We’ve been quiet for a moment — about 1.5 weeks of needed stillness.
Not gone, just recalibrating after something that took everything (in the best way).
Truth is, we didn’t think it was possible to go beyond last year.
The 10-year mark felt like a peak. A full circle.
But somehow, this year stretched further.
More intensity, more connection, more of that fragile, electric thing we’re all here for.
This festival isn’t built on logic. It never has been.
It survives because people choose to show up for something that isn’t easy, obvious, or guaranteed.
To everyone who made it real — artists, crew, collaborators, volunteers, and all of you in the crowd — thank you. Deeply.
We’re still here because of you.
And yes, we’re already thinking about what comes next.
Til we meet again. ❤️

– We speak the same language but in different art forms, says Johanna Knutsson
A body in resistance, three worlds of sound. In Three Ways of Averting the Evil Eye, choreographer and dancer Frédéric Gies joins forces with electronic musicians Fiedel, Johanna Knutsson, and Rivet. The musicians have composed a part each for the piece, which have then been interpreted through dance.
– That format creates a different experience than my other work, which definitely creates an element of surprise for the viewer, says Frédéric Gies.
The work unfolds as a triptych, three distinct chapters where movement and sound enter into intimate, unpredictable dialogue. The relationship between music and dance isn’t just thematic, it’s elemental. The piece also carries an undercurrent of protest and resistance.
– Art in itself is resistance. A hotbed for the dissentient and disobedient. For me personally it's also a way to cope with the shittiness of it all (life, humanity, existence etc.), says Mika Hallbäck Vuorenpää.

The performance puts to the forefront the capacity of dance and music to come together and create new emotions, images, intensities and meaning. More than a mere dialogue between music and dance, the performance looks at the dancing body as a site of resistance. Poetically evoking the relationship between dance and protest, the performance transforms anger and rage into magical spells against the many evils who recklessly attack life itself.
Elna my furry little neurotic but unconditionally loving angel. My heart is punctured and collapsed from saying goodbye to you after 10 years of near uninterrupted companionship.
You are Forever in my heart and soul. With your idol and big sister Lilo. One day we will reunite and our ashes spread on the ocean.
