Delaney in GLW Couture
This shoot idea was sparked by the first time Delaney and I had a session. We were talking about different fashion brands. Some she would mention I had never heard of BUT I had heard of Mirror Palais. From there it would be not so random of sending inspiration images of this idea we were trying to bring to life.
Months and months went by when I received a message from Delaney saying hey I found the perfect designer to help with this vision, she’s here in the valley. From there things snowballed and we got to planning. This is where Grace came in with her amazing designs. So amazing in fact as we were wrapping up, we were approached by a couple wanting to purchase the items.
The day of the shoot many mishaps occurred. From makeup, the unexpected heat, equipment faults, and cameras taking a tumble. All that to say even though the odds started to stack against this session we came out on top.

Joanna reached out with a specific vision for her senior portraits and we brought them to light. It’s a great feeling when someone truly admires your art and you as an artist. It feels like come the day of the session there is one less barrier to break down. The day of the session was all good vibes, so thank you again @joannalabija for trusting in me to deliver on these photos to commemorate this milestone.
The first 3 images are something new I decide to try with my portraiture, with the last slide being a contact sheet from the final gallery. Shoutout to @captureone for this feature.

WHERE WOULD I BE WITHOUT THE LORD?
There’s a depth to this testimony that words could never fully capture.
4 years of continual discovery, opportunities, dreams I never imagined would become reality, and so many tear-filled prayers.
Every step of this journey is dedicated to Jesus — my only Hope.
Thank You so much, Lord.
Location was the last of choices. With the right wardrobe choices and leaning into or creating the light for your desired look, the location is just another piece that helps solidify the story. Photographers, myself included get caught up in the I have no where cool to shoot. Instead of looking at it like there’s no where cool to shoot around you, flip it to the mindset of people not from here who don’t experience this day in and day out would think this is different/cool and would love to shoot here, now how can I make this cool to me.
Film!
One thing I frequently hear when people talk about film is the “film look”. What truly is the film look? Is it grainy, dark, light & airy, punchy? It’s all of those things, as film is just the medium to transport your vision to the beginning of the final image. You have Photographers, DOPs, and Directors making film stock choices based off of what they envision for their art. For example Jordan Peele’s “Nope”, The Bear, Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners”, Euphoria, were all shot on film but each has its own unique look.
The “Film Look” as it pertains to weddings was ushered is as the standard by what I call the old guard, a few notable photographers who overexposed Fuji Pro400h to ensure a dense negative, high latitude to capture more shadow detail and reduce visible grain. With this depending on how much the film has been overexposed it can lead to color shifts, colors being washed out, highlights being blown and more.
Creating your film look takes some work. Knowing where to meter, how to meter a scene with drastic lighting, how your selected film stock reacts to certain lighting scenarios, this is all apart of the process. Knowing your film stock in and out is everything. You’ll see me calling for models/sitters throughout the year as I’ll continually test stocks in different lighting conditions with different cameras. This helps me build a mental catalog. The other part is the connection with whoever is doing your developing and scanning if you aren’t doing it yourself. There are many scanners out there with each having their own unique quirks. Personally I have moved to mirrorless scanning be it at home with @captureone or when I send it out to @arthousefilmlab or @strapfilmlab . Bringing in a flat scan gives you the opportunity to grade and treat the scan almost like any other digital photograph.
The last slide is a flat scan from the session. The rest of the slides are graded film and digital.

A&K
My favorite entrepreneur duo in The Valley. Yeah their coffee shop is bomb, but them as people a whole other level. I was lucky to meet them a few years back, being in the shop a few times a week working. General “hi how are you doing? hows the coffee? what are you working on today?” turned into “A” pulling me aside one even telling me how nervous he was to propose to “K” but this is how he wanted it to go. From there its been a constant state of growing this friendship, watching their boy, business and relationship.
Cheers to A&K who consistently lead with love

Having fomo seeing posts and stories go up for this years Spring NYBFW. Attending last fall with the @dangerouscreatives crew was a treat. Meeting up with colleagues from @thehybridco , making new friends, putting physical faces to those virtual friends, being surrounded by hustle and bustle of NYC to the creativity pouring out in every show. I will get back there one day.

Being a guy in a woman dominated field can sometimes be intimidating. You ride the fine line of you are a guest in the space, not to take up too much space, while also dropping any guard to allow that mutual respect you all share for the craft and couples.
With NYBFW being around the corner for this years Spring edition there were lots of reflection. Attending for the first time in the Fall of 2025 I realized there was this gap, something missing. Men/male presenting representation. And not in the sense of men being present, attending shows, photographing, I mean in the way of there being designers offering/showcasing new suits, trends, accessories. Of course you’ll have your advertisements from David’s Bridal and those sorts of store but I know there are designers out there offering Insane jackets, silhouettes, shirts and more.
Whether it’s at NYBFW, just in social media, or even just offering consults for my clients and others I want grooms to step up and step out 🤝🏾💜
At Weddings and most events you’ll see me in Cowboy boots these days. People compliment them but also ask the question why? I simply respond back, why not? They can be dressed up or down. They come in a variety of patterns, colors, and materials. They are comfy (for me). This is just to say don’t let anyone say you shouldn’t just bc they don’t see it how you see it. If you are comfortable, feel good in it, and brings the right kind of eyes then by all means go for it. Wedding vendors get stuck in the you must wear all black but what’s stopping you from rocking a deep purple cardigan, a rich brown, navy, deep green or anything of the sort. They say first impressions set the tone, so if you come in with clothing that matches your personality the guard drops even more.
This past weekend while being a second for @amour_is_french the mom of the groom, brother, and others complimented our demeanors for being this calm presence but also noted the small details of my watch, boots, etc that it all just matched.
Authenticity Over Approval.
