I had a dang nice vacation in the Adirondacks. Can't wait to get out there again someday!

I am on vacation in the Adirondacks and having a very nice time. Have been up twelve high peaks so far, and most (but not all) of them involved no torrential rain or hypothermia risk. This weekend's forecast is looking great and I'm excited to spend some time with friends tagging a few more summits.

September was really not so long ago—but it is thousands of miles away. #continentaldividetrail #cdt

The tentpad at Two Medicine was a little cramped for a party of four, but hey—I got to spend some quality time close to my trail family. I think we were all having a tough time with the realization that the hike was only a few days from its end. Pitamakin Pass was closed due to bear activity, but the reroute along Dawson Pass wasn't anything to complain about. I think you can't really go wrong with trails in Glacier. I always love getting high up on the Divide, and the guys always seem to love peeing off of it. #cdt #continentaldividetrail

Got a little Banff time in with some other CDTers yesterday. Summiting Mt. Rundle has been on my to-do list for a while, and it was a perfect day for it.

Glacier National Park was such an incredible finale. Our first day was a short, windy hike from the town of East Glacier to the ranger station in Two Medicine, where I spent several hours working out an unexpected permit snafu—successfully, thank goodness! #cdt #continentaldividetrail

Two years ago, I stood at the border between Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park and America's Glacier National Park to begin a 1150km hike north. Yesterday, we stood at that same border again—and we walked there from Mexico! The Continental Divide Trail is rugged, challenging, and unpredictable. My route covered about 4500km along the Rocky Mountains, across New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. It was a difficult adventure, but absolutely worthwhile. So much love and gratitude for all the people who helped me along the way, and a huge shout-out to @benjaminr84 @jannikboeckenfoerde @nat_tenzing @mountainmanofnh @sweet.onion.boy for the miles we shared. I'm happy it's done, but far happier that we did it!!! #cdt #continentaldividetrail

Montana got so good! I really enjoyed my time out in the Bob Marshall Wilderness--most of it was spent shouting to scare away grizzly bears. It worked, and I got to enjoy watching one run away from me. I also woke up to a mouse inside of my tent last night, and it was the greatest horror I have experienced. #cdt #continentaldividetrail

I am about three states behind on photos, but hello from Montana. Here's some stuff I've seen! I've walked almost 2600 miles up to this point, and have less than two weeks to go before I hit the Canadian border. I'm both glad and sad about that. #cdt #continentaldividetrail
