Kicking off the series is Arielle Assouline-Lichten—a designer, architect, and artist, as well as the founder of Slash Objects, a New York-based design studio specialising in products and furniture. Using only a pen, here are her responses.
@arielleassoulinelichten is a multidisciplinary designer, architect, and founder of Slash Objects, a New York and Paris-based design studio known for transforming recycled materials like waste marble and discarded tyres into minimalist, sustainable designs. A Harvard-educated architect with a background in critical theory from NYU, Arielle’s work explores the tension between the natural and man-made, combining thoughtful design with environmental consciousness. Her designs have earned global recognition, including installations for Thompson Hotels and honours like the American Design Honours. Through
