It’s been a hell of a year, that’s for sure.
We had lots of good times a great memories, and a lot more to look forward to for next year.
Onward, bring it on 2026 😬
Hunting season is officially over and with the winter grind of driving to and from work in the dark it’s got me dreaming of the next adventure. This one will be tough to beat.
Can’t choose a photo to post… post them all. Couldn’t think of a better way to honor this bull.
Stay focused, be present, be grateful.
That was my moto for this hunt. I would say it over and over in my head.
After getting back to camp from packing Chads bull to the trucks we had recorded approx. 43 miles in 4 days. It was last light but we spotted a heard about 3 miles away. We put the bull to bed. As the sun went down we made a plan and it started with a 330am alarm. Fire, coffee, breakfast. On the trail at 5am. 2 hour hike in the dark into first light. Chad picked the bull up in the binos. He was in my range. I had lots of time to setup, dial, calm down, breath.
Stay focused, be present, be grateful.
Going hot, squeeze, bull down one shot.
A massive effort from the team to get the bull 3 miles back to a location where we could hang the meat for the day before making the long trek back to truck.
That’s where the real hero’s came in, the llamas.
Remote and wild, full of grizzly’s, horse beaten trails and some of the most beautiful country I’ve seen, just about everywhere we looked. I can’t even begin to express the gratitude for the 3 men I shared camp with, and my team at home not just supporting but encouraging me to live a dream I’ve dreamt for as long as I can remember.
Parker Lotte’s turn!
My little side kick is off to preschool. Such a sweet little silly girl, she’s been so excited to start school and make friends.
I’m not crying, you’re crying ðŸ˜
Quick little Friday night soak for some fresh dungies for Saturday dinner. Parker is still learning how to crack crab, but I can’t do anything without her doing it too 😆
