The Rick Howard Inspo Board for @familiaskate .
I took this photo on a trip to Florida while we were filming for Pretty Sweet. Rick blended perfectly with the wall, so I asked if I could take a photo of him. He chose a back lip. If I remember right, it was one and done. It’s since become one of my favorites. Rick’s style, trick selection, and sense of humor have inspired me, Familia, and I’m sure many of you for decades.

@skiduls would probably complain about this footage, from I’m guessing around 2003, seeing the light of day. He holds an incredibly high standard when it comes to what footage he likes being put out there for the world to see but when you make skating look as good as Kenny does it doesn’t matter what the footage is even if you put two nollie crooks in the same post, it just makes it twice as nice 💫

I wanted to do something special for 30 Chocolate Years. I’ve been on for 22 of those years and I have so much gratitude and love for everyone who has made Crailtap what it is today. It’s very special to bring together two passions of mine.
I cofounded a company called @hana.mycelium with @gnarlycreature and @redhousestudioarchitecture . We grow building material out of mycelium, which is the root system of mushrooms.
These mycelium blocks are made with a process that uses reishi mushroom spores and agricultural waste. We let the mycelium grow for 30 days, harvest the reishi and then use the mycelium to form our material.
We laser engraved each block with the original Choco 6 flag series by @evanhecox to celebrate the 30 year love story. There are a few left at the closing reception tomorrow night in LA. See the last slide for flyer.
