Back to 2020 - I hadn’t even officially launched Skellon Events yet… but I knew I needed content 😂 The only issue? I had absolutely no clue what a styled shoot was and didn’t realise people sometimes did them collaboratively… so naturally I just went out and bought the cake, flowers and photographer myself (although Beth absolutely gave me a mega deal haha) and made my own wooden arch. I set up a Covid friendly wedding set up in my in laws’ garden and roped in some of my beautiful friends to model with one instruction… be yourselves. “If that means the groom wears his Sean Wotherspoon Air Max with a blush pink suit, then we absolutely encourage it.” From the very beginning the vision was always the same. Proudly Welsh, rooted in Wrexham and focused on personality over perfection. Real people, real style and details that actually meant something - Just be you 🖤 I even created a hanging table plan from the tree with Ryan Reynolds attending alongside our friend H… long before Wrexham AFC was ever part of his story 👀 And now, in the best full circle moment ever… I’m planning their real wedding 🥹 Still the same vision. A proud Mama moment 🧡 Not only is Molly absolutely smashing uni life (even though she’s so far away from us), she’s been Year One Rep and helped organise the @mtmball26 … and we loved the sunset spritz theme 🍹(and the matching outfit… the @quirk_it__ girls will appreciate that too) She’s also loving life working at @upwalthambarns and of course… still loyal to the weddings world. Couldn’t love that more. And to top it all off… she won Life of the Party 🥹 and as her Mama LOVES a party that one feels very on brand. We love you so much Mols 🧡 But please come home soon… your sister misses you desperately and we need you back on Team Skellon Events haha 💫

Two years ago this week we delivered our first Player Awards at William Aston Hall… and looking back now, that was the moment everything started for us with the Club. Working alongside the brilliant Matt Smith, celebrating both the women’s and men’s teams, it felt big at the time. Now we can see it was just the beginning. From there came the Fan Zone. What started as a matchday space became somewhere people genuinely wanted to be. Turning up early, staying after the final whistle, seeing the same faces week after week. (We loved our regulars) And then last season just took it to another level. End of season awards, on the pitch, 8000 fans back in the stadium, The Royston Club playing, full production, full energy, the whole place alive. We felt incredibly proud to be part of it. None of it happens without the people behind it. The most incredible suppliers and our own Team Skellon Events, all pulling together to make it happen time and time again. We also delivered the opening of the new Club shop at Eagles Meadow, from the public launch through to the Friday night press and stakeholder event. Another huge moment for the Club and the town. There have been moments that meant even more too. Supporting in honouring Joey Jones is something that will stay with us always. And now a full season working alongside the Foundation, supporting the work happening every day across the community but that deserves its own post 🫶 Two years. So much trust. So many moments we’re proud of. Whatever happens today… what a season. Up the town ❤️
