That was like 2 years ago now, recently life has been tryna KO me but I’ve been able to weave my way through to what I would call victory 🏆 I continue to bare the weight of my emotions but with more strength, courage and honesty. I wanted to turn this piece into something real, something hopeful that highlights the space so many men experience in the dark without knowing how to get out. 🔥🐉 “Higher Heights” 🌪🌊 SPIRIT 003 ✨ My Final Piece from “Astrospective” 🌎 This one is my favourite, my idea behind this piece isn’t necessarily what I envision as the spirit in physical form. From my perspective Spirit is something that exists outside of our visual perception here… but that doesn’t stop us from being creative with our imagination of what that may look like. One way I tried to understand this, is that Spirit is also something that connects us and moves through us. This is why we have things like spirit animals and totems. This piece is my visual of My ‘Higher Self ⚔️ Spirit Warrior’ They Exist on a higher plane having ultimate access to the many parts of the human experience and consciousness. In this instance, this is my Higher self in spirit warrior mode. He has my face type beat + all these ideas of what it means to be this being, connected to myself will ultimately bring to question the powers at their command. Sometimes Life can make you double think yourself. Your actions, your choices. I don’t really have any regrets atp. Maybe 1 or 2 things that I wish Icould tweak but what overrides this is my trust in God. The trust that everything happens exactly as it was meant to. This doesn’t and shouldn’t take away from my own autonomy, to make the correct choices to do what I know and deem to be right for myself and for others. I drew No.1 on a day I was feeling unsettled by a situation and I thought to myself I wish I could forget this for a moment & poured it into this. Deep down I know every feeling is meant to be felt, every experience is meant to occur just as it is. So that we can develop ourselves to further deal with bigger and badder things in the future, with a sense of calm confidence ❤️ #art #artist #illustration #sketchbook #artwork
