Set and Lighting Design for
@skantquestionmark Runway ‘Obsecure.’
Responding to this year’s runway theme of childlike experimentation and play, the set design draws on familiar childhood spaces: blanket forts, wardrobes, curtains – places of safety and softness
where fantasy and expression unfolds away from adult eyes.
A space for private performance and imagination, like hiding and dressing up in someone else’s wardrobe where it feels safe to try things on and act things out without being watched.
Sewn and constructed from second-hand shirts and bedsheets, the walls and central structure create a gentle enclosure where models perform and interact through light and shadow, balancing between visibility and privacy.
